0:00Mitch:Oh ready?

0:16Tom:Still there. That's gonna be on the board for a while.

0:20Hayden:Sure is.

0:22Yeah.

0:24Hayden:Hello, and welcome to Entertain This, a podcast about movies, TV shows, and video games. My name is Hayden.

0:29With me have Mitch in town.

0:31Hayden:Hello. Today we're discussing a menagerie of things. Men? Yeah. Yeah. I almost had a successful, you know, intro there, but it is what it is. But never let you live it down.

0:47Mitch:Social media Mitch. You can go to entertainth.app, which you take to our Facebook group page, our Instagram, our X, our TikTok. It'll also take you to our YouTube. But if you want to go to all of those individually, it's at entertain this underscore or on YouTube at entertain this 59. But if you go to the website, you can participate in trivia, give recommendations, you can rate the stuff that we've rated and you know, see where you compare on movies and shows and games. We've got news and different things you can look up there.

1:16Tom:Yeah.

1:17Mitch:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Got some polls that you can vote in, but look, you can even leave us a voicemail on like a has anyone done it? No, not yet. But at the moment, you know, it's it's still a work in progress, so well. Entertain this dot app.

1:31Hayden:I have watched and played a lot of things. Menagerie. Before uh I get into some stuff that people, you know, the newer stuff, I really want to talk about something I've really enjoyed playing lately, and that's Halo.

1:45Mitch:Oh yeah? Well, we we all played Halo.

1:47Hayden:But I played Halo uh the Master Chief collection and my me and my wife, when we were dating, like Why are you pointing at me?

1:55Tom:Yours what?

1:56Hayden:Well I was pointing at a door, but don't feel self-conscious, Tom. It'll never happen, Tom. Never say yes. So so so fleshed right now. Uh when me and my wife were dating, like I had Halo Land party. That that was like the big thing back in the day. And me and my nerd friends would get together and Doritos and Mountain Dew it up with all the TVs and the Xboxes and whatever. So uh I started playing Halo after after we got the campaign evolved. And then me and my buddy Troy, we uh we were wanted to do some Master Chief stuff on the collection, which is great because it's every game all the way up to Halo 4. Okay, you know, and uh I started playing, and my son's like, hey, can I play? And I was like, sure.

2:43Hayden:And then uh I was like, You I have an idea. Because he he was bragging about how great he is at the game. I was like, 1v1 me, bro. And he was like, he was like, what? Blood gulch? One v1 me, bro. So then my daughter was like, I just I went in on this. Yeah, she played when when she was about his age, and she was like, I'll I'll wreck him too. And I was like, I was like, all right, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna do lockout, Halo 2, okay, and uh it's gonna be 1v1v1. Alright. And uh we hit we hit go. Uh it would the score was 25 to 2 to 0. Yeah. I smoked them. I was because your daughter was beating you that bad? I was like, your son was 25, right? I smoked them kids. Halo 2 is like my you know, my best shooter game.

3:29Mitch:Halo 2 is the one that had like the cross-platform, like the with nothing in between, right? That you could snipe from like I can't remember.

3:36Hayden:That was Halo 1. That was one, okay. I can't remember the name of the map, but uh Halo 2 was the first. Yeah, where they had like the portal. No, it had the portals where you could zip from one side.

3:46Mitch:One side to the other, or it had like the one ramp, but it was like blood gulch. No, it's in space.

3:51Hayden:Yeah, there's a ravine like death. Oh, oh, okay. I don't know what it was called. That was a Halo 1 uh DLC map. And you remember you remember how they did the DLCs back in the day? You had to go buy to go to GameStop and buy the card and put the disc. You had to buy an actual disc to load the maps onto your Xbox.

4:09Mitch:I didn't have an original Xbox, I wouldn't know.

4:11Tom:Yeah, I remember I had saved up money like all year so I could buy one. And it came with Halo, and then the I bought one other game, and I got it was like already thing they've been out for like a year and a half, but it was Nights of the Old Republic, and it was already like platinum collection, yeah, yeah. And like you turn in like the little like green goople, boop, boop, boop, boom. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the gigantic Xbox.

4:31Hayden:What were those called? The uh the Gronk controllers or something like that. But uh yeah, anyways, so uh my wife came home and she's like, You're playing Halo Without me. And I was like, I was like, Oh, I forgot that she she was like really into it, and she played, and she's like, she's better than my son, my poor son. And her and my daughter are about the same, and uh, you know, I'm obviously not so uh but uh so like we played a random you know about of games from the different um uh game years that they came out, and then they loved Halo 4 because you could sprint. Yeah, and I was like, of course. So casuals, you could do real life things. So we play Halo 4, and then my wife uh just does she just

5:17Hayden:discovered her savantness was in SWAT. Do you remember SWAT?

5:21Mitch:Headshots for like double damage or something?

5:23Hayden:There's no shields, no radar. You get like a BR or a DMR spawn. I always like that, but I remember. Yeah, so she's just amazing at that. And uh, she actually beat me one time. Um we won't talk about that. That has been recorded.

5:37Tom:Let him let him admit that has been recorded.

5:40Hayden:But uh yeah.

5:41Tom:Just to make that a soundbite, she beat me one time.

5:43Hayden:She beats me all the time. She waits till I go to sleep. Um, anyways, so yeah, it's been a lot of fun, and that's been basically like our family pastime when we get a minute, all four of us are home, we'll all play Halo together. You know, it's weird that like shooters of yesteryear where everybody could be sitting on the same couch killing each other on one TV. That's not a thing anymore. Everybody has to have their own console and stuff like that. No screen peeking. And it honestly it works from like a marketing standpoint as an adult. I'm like, this is so easy and fun for like a family. How come there are no more games like this nowadays?

6:21Mitch:Yep.

6:22Tom:And everything has to you have to be like logged in online to even play it.

6:25Hayden:Do you do you know what else we're playing? We're playing Diablo 3. You wanna know why? Because that's a uh a four-player split screen. Well, it's not split screen, but it's four-player couch co-op game. All these games from like the Xbox One era back, that's what me and my kids are all into because we can all breathe the same air while we're playing together.

6:42Mitch:Well, the only one that really has a bunch of games like that nowadays is like Nintendo.

6:46Tom:Yeah, that's the lot, they're like the last holdout. But that's pretty much it's not even like the holdout, that's just been their bread and butter for 30 years.

6:53Mitch:Like me and my me and my son, all he wants to do is play Monster Trucks, so we have like the monster jam, and his I let always use him, let him use the number or player one controller because it gives you like a little bit of an edge where it helps him guide him to where he doesn't just wreck all the time. And I have to actually try to make sure I beat him. Have you played Mario Kind? It's much more fun. Yeah, he has, he just has a hard time staying on the track going straight. He needs the Wolverine ability.

7:19Hayden:So for Mario Kart 8, that's I think it's the sort of most recent. I think there's some weird Mario Kart that's came out since then, but uh Mario Kart 8, uh you can put on rails for younger players.

7:31Mitch:I didn't know that.

7:32Hayden:Yeah. So he'll never fall off a cliff. And you know, he's gonna think he's like the best ever when he beats you.

7:38Mitch:Oh, he he thinks that now with the monster truck game.

7:41Hayden:You gotta tell you, you gotta put them kids in their place. Well, I'll do every now and then.

7:44Mitch:There's every now and then I'll leave him and I'll like almost being about to lap him, and he's like, whoa!

7:48Hayden:I will say, because I'm I'm never I never take it easy on my kids. You know, I I I demolish them from the day they start learning how to play. But the day that they actually beat you chop them down at the knees. The day that they actually beat you when you look and you see the sense of accomplishment they have on your on their faces, like I've done the impossible, that's a great feeling.

8:08Tom:It was a boss fight and you got to be the boss. Yeah.

8:10Mitch:Well, yeah, I mean, I only let my son win a couple of times. I don't. The only times that he normally wins is when I crash because I just it's been a while. Because you like during the monster truck game, you gotta steer the front and the back wheels at the same time. So it gets a little hard sometimes.

8:24Hayden:I came downstairs uh one Saturday morning and my son's like lassoing Halo. You know, he's like, I gotta get good at this game.

8:31He's like putting himself through the trials and stuff.

8:33Hayden:Hearts on fire is playing.

8:35Tom:He's got a picture of you, and he just grabs, he's like, Dad.

8:40And he has, he's gotten like exponentially better where I start sweating every once in a while, you know. And I guess he's he's like getting shaky and stuff and he's playing, he's like got some cool plays.

8:50Hayden:You know, and I'll I'll start playing where like I'm not gonna take it easy on him, but I won't go immediately for the shotgun or the rocket launcher or something like that, because I know where all the weapon spawns are. That used to be a thing, weapons would spawn in certain places. Yeah, nowadays, like it's random or whatever, but you know, I know where it is. And when he like gets cocky and kills me like five times, and he was like, Yeah, yeah, you're going down. I'm like, okay. Buckle up, buckle up junior. Yeah. So it'll crush his little dreams, but then he gets more determined and you know, starts learning the game better.

9:22Tom:It'll be a while before my kids are able to go toe-to-toe with dad in video games or even just play them. Instead of taking my broken Xbox controller, throwing it on the ground and taking it and running away.

9:33It'd be like 50.

9:34Mitch:My son's really not old enough to be competitive yet, and my daughter, she just doesn't want to play competitive, she wants to play like co-op stuff. Yeah, and then my wife is she wants to play competitive, but if she loses, she's done. She's like, I don't want to play anymore.

9:46Hayden:Yeah, Diablo 3 is a is a good game because it it it's kind of for everybody. Like, I I like the uh the character build and you know, seeing how your character can evolve. My son likes the violence, obviously. Stabby stab my daughter. My daughter and my wife are obsessed with the customization in that game. They just every time we clear a dungeon and come back to the village, they're just like, Alright, it's time to uh accessorize. And they go and they they got the new. I'm just like, well, I'm gonna go to the bathroom, let me know when you guys are ready.

10:19Tom:So looking back, like my like when I got my uh Nintendo 64, like my parents would play Mario Kart against each other all the time. And like my mom smoked my dad like 10 games in a row in battle. And like he gets mad and leaves the room if she brings it up. He's just like 30 years later.

10:37Mitch:Well, yeah, growing up, like my dad he used to love playing like Need for Speed, especially like Need for Speed Underground 2, where you had to time the shifts as you're drag racing down the street. He loved doing that stuff. Now he doesn't, he doesn't want to play anything because he's like, I don't want to lose.

10:49Tom:He's like, Yeah, I'm not trying. Because once I got PlayStation 2 and like I beat the snot out of him in Dragon Ball Z Budokai, and like he comes downstairs, my mom's like, Oh, it's like you're done already. He's like, Well, Thomas grabbed me by the ankle, spun me around over his head, threw me into space, went up to space, grabbed me, threw me through a mountain, and then blew up the planet I was on. And he's like, I don't want to play anymore. He's like, I don't like this game. It's that boomer pride. But like we had like that like dip, and then the Wii came out and like the fights we would have, like with just like Wii bowling and like the trash talk, then like Wii boxing, baseball, and all that stuff, and like or the one where you could run with

11:27Tom:like the swords, yeah, and you just bonk people in the head.

11:30Hayden:Man, the Wii was a weird era. It was a fun era, because like it was fun because it was like, wow, we've made it. This is the next generation of gaming with these like motion control peripherals, but they sucked, right? Like they were not great, they were not great.

11:44Tom:Well, it was a lot of fun, like the comic-y, like you know, when like something would happen, like Wii baseball and that the guy would just look up like dead at you with like those like dolls' eyes and dows.

11:53Mitch:Well, when the Wii came out, I was working at a birthday party place that during the week, because like I was still doing like college courses and stuff, but during the week from like 10 a.m. Well, I guess it was like 9 a.m. to noon. So I was just working that little bit of time frame, and then I'd go to class. So nobody's having birthday parties during the middle of the week from 9 to like noon. So I'm just in there playing the Wii, getting paid. I got to work, I was really good at bowling. Really good. Like, if I didn't get a perfect score, something was wrong. I remember I beat uh Call of Duty, I think Modern Warfare 2. I think I beat that campaign while I was working there in the store. On Wii.

12:30Mitch:No, no, no, no, it wasn't on the Wii. I brought my Xbox because I was bored. I plugged it up to the TV next to the catch register.

12:35Tom:I would have been mad if you played Call of Duty on the Wii.

12:38Hayden:Remember, remember like uh Wii boxing? Yeah, and then Wii tennis? Yeah, it was the same game. Yeah, yeah.

12:44Tom:If you just like did this really good, like if you were speed drumming, like you're like you were lightning years ahead of Rocky Balboa in Rocky Four, you just go because that's how my brother figured out how to box.

12:58Is the same for tennis too, because the ball would just inevitably be in the middle of the net, and then people would like bat it back and forth really fast, just over and over again. It was just like whoever could break the rhythm first would lose.

13:10Tom:So the same thing with we baseball to pitch.

13:13Hayden:You just shake it as hard as possible.

13:16Tom:No, if you like flicked it. If you like held up the remote and just flicked it as like hard as you could, like just a quick snap, you'd throw like 98 miles an hour.

13:24Mitch:Well, like there's this new little little, it's almost like a little cube, I forgot what it was called, but my wife bought it for my kids because it's it's it's a video game, but it's all motion capture, kind of almost like the little Xbox that they used to have.

13:34I don't even talk about it.

13:34Mitch:Well, she bought one of those, and there's a game where basically it's just like shooting baskets in the basketball goal. Well, I found out instead of doing the whole motion, if I just stand there and I put one arm to my left and one arm straight up, I can just keep keep just keep doing my ribs. Like I shot like 300 uh baskets in like two minutes before my son's he's trying to compete and he shot like six. He just cried three.

14:01Get wrecked, kids.

14:02Mitch:I was like, I win!

14:05Hayden:It was a lot of fun. I don't know. I I I love the fact that like as an adult, you know, pushing 40, I have kids, certain games from my you know, childhood, because my daughter's 17, so the Halo 3 came out when I was 17. And there are certain games from that era that stand the test of time. And it works, it works in a family setting and all this other stuff. And I've just been really impressed with it. And then the fact that these kids that are used to like Unreal Engine 5 level graphics and all this other craziness that's going on. Halo, those older games came out in a time where Halo games like that specifically just weren't broken when they when they launched. So it was a flawless game ready to Halo.

14:47Tom:I remember I got Halo 3 for Christmas, or some of my grandparents were over, and I put it in my Xbox 360 that I got for Christmas. And I'm like, I'm gonna play Halo 3 on the big TV in the living room. And he my grandpa comes, he goes, Oh, are we watching a movie? He's like, Who's in this? And I'm like, it's a video game. He's like, What? And he's like just staring at the TV like, my god. He's like, it looks like real life.

15:10Mitch:And I was like, okay, grandpa. Yeah, I had my parents thought the same thing on PlayStation 2 with Medal of Honor.

15:16Tom:Yeah. Playing the Pacific Theater. I my dad, like, I the first game I got was Ratchet and Clank on PlayStation 2. Like, and I I'm playing it, and he's just standing like with his hands behind his back, just like stood like staring at the television. He's like, it just looks so clear. He's like, it looks so good. He's like, it's way better than Nintendo. But he still does it now if he comes over to my house. Like he'll say, we'll put on like a YouTube or put on like you know 4K, like aquarium or something, you know, for like my son to just stare at aimlessly or wander around and then look and go, you know, Nemo and then run away because he stole something. And my dad will just stand there and just be staring.

15:47Tom:He's like, the picture's just so clear.

15:49Mitch:It's like he's just blown away. And and with kids, I don't think it matters like graphics don't really matter for kids because like my son, he loves playing the monster truck thing, which look it's got 3D, it looks real and all this stuff. But then we'll sit down and I still have a uh compilation of it's I guess it was basically the arcade versions of the Ninja Turtle games. Yeah, and they're all 2D side scrollers. Yeah, he has just as much fun to sit there because all he's gonna do is press two buttons and he can fight.

16:11Hayden:It's games were solid, you know. I I I think it's a testament to today that games suck. Well, I'll say the market for games today sucks. There's too many games out there to find the diamonds and the rough, because the rough is pretty expansive, let's promise. Yeah, big rough.

16:28Mitch:It's like all of Game Pass, but minus one game.

16:30Hayden:You knew you knew when Halo came out it was gonna be a solid game. You knew when Zelda came out the the the Ocarina Time remake. Have you seen like the amount of uh Switch pre-order sales? Switch two, it's insane, and it's all because of a game that came out in 1997, right? And they're just updating with better graphics for today. Yeah, and uh yeah, I'm there for it, I'm getting one too.

16:55Tom:So of course I think the problem is like video games now, it's just you don't buy the games anymore. Physical discs, you don't go, you don't go to GameStop or you wait or you get it, and you have something tangible to hold in your hand, like a little booklet with like pictures and stuff, you know, stu you know, lure to read. Yeah, you know, back when we were buying these games in like the early 2000s, it was an investment. Right, right. It's like this was like owning a book.

17:16Mitch:Well, then they didn't have 50 games that were gonna come out this September. There was five, maybe.

17:21Hayden:Yeah, yeah. I I got a couple of reels that I subscribed to on Instagram, and for some reason September is a wild month, and November is gonna be a wild month too. Um, but like all these, like all the people are like, oh, this is gonna have to be a three-part video. Sorry guys, there's so many games coming out. I'm like, Holly, I don't wanna I don't even if I don't know that's coming out, then you know why is it so expansive? Why do I care? The only thing I can think of is uh Ocarina Time, which is November.

17:50Tom:Well, you remember the commercials we used to get for these games?

17:52Hayden:Oh yeah.

17:53Mitch:I haven't seen a commercial for a game in a long time.

17:55Hayden:Halo commercials? Do you remember those Halo commercials?

17:56Mitch:Yeah, they're all live action. Remember the Call of Duty one where everybody's shooting each other with like fake air weapons?

18:01Yeah.

18:01Mitch:I mean, you had you had the uh ODST commercial.

18:04Tom:That was like that should have been a movie!

18:06That should have been a movie.

18:07Tom:Like, I remember watching that. Like, I was like, I'm like, where do I sign up? Yeah, like can I can I be an ODST? I want to I want an orbital drop like a planet and shit.

18:15Mitch:I don't know how they made that game trailer and never turned it into a TV show or movie.

18:19Tom:Missed opportunities.

18:20Mitch:Everybody's like, yeah, that's awesome.

18:22Tom:Or even like the old SOCOM games. Yeah. Where like the SEOs like come up out of the water. It's like, whoa, SOCOM, huh? It's like special operations committee.

18:30Mitch:I want to play that game. I want to dad, dad, I want to buy that. Well, you were talking about Ocarina Time. Did you see where they're making Metal Gear Solid remake and it's no longer with Sony?

18:39Hayden:Yeah, so Sony has cut all ties with Kojima.

18:42Mitch:What like what happened?

18:43Hayden:Uh they cut the ties.

18:45Mitch:Oh, thanks. I I don't know.

18:48Hayden:Sony has been like like whiffing a lot lately. After they've announced that the next console will be Discless, like they're gonna have everything entirely digital. Like people have started looking at a lot of their like uh marketing antics, and a lot of it's very questionable, you know. So like like so remember back in the console wars when Xbox came out and they said that you can't trade or or or resell games anymore? Yeah, and then Sony was like, This is how you share a game. And you hand the game to somebody. Uh Xbox is doing the opposite now. So they said disc list, and then Xbox has a disk to digital feature live today. So like you can have a a disc from the Xbox 360, Xbox uh Series X or whatever era, and you put it in once, and you can

19:37Hayden:download it to your Xbox, it'll read the code and know that that uh you own that that game, right? And it'll keep it forever. So and unless you hand it to somebody else, if you give me the disc, I put it in, it'll know from that code that you don't have it anymore and it'll give it to me. Okay. But like it's it's pretty impressive. Like you could I gotta look at my 360 collection because I still have a lot of it. Yeah, put it in once and then and then forget about it, and then you never have to put the disc in again because you own it.

20:04Tom:I did have a heartbreaking moment with uh gaming. What was that? Uh I was at my parents and I was upstairs in my room because my son, you know, stairs as soon as he sees him, he's like, I gotta climb Everest. And you know, but he made it to my room and he's like over like where like all my old consoles were and he's like fighting my PlayStation 2. And I was like, oh man, I was like, I haven't played this thing in forever. And like I found it, found all my chords, my memory card, my controllers, and I was like, what games did I still have? And I had like Bounty Hunter, I had Lord of the Rings, Two Towers, and I was like, hell yeah, I was like, I'm gonna take this home, I was like, I'm gonna play this upstairs on that

20:35Tom:little TV I got. It's gonna be great, it's gonna be a hell of an afternoon when you guys go down for a nap. And I plugged everything in, I got it all ready, turned it on, PlayStation won't work.

20:46Hayden:Which PlayStation?

20:47Tom:The fat one. The original? Yeah. Oh.

20:50Hayden:Yeah.

20:50Tom:Um from what I looked, the um little uh fuse for the power. Oh, okay. Because the cord still gets power.

21:00Hayden:Will it work on a PS5 if you put those discs in a PS5? Is it are they backwards compatible? I don't know. I don't know either.

21:08Tom:I still have my original copy of Lord of the Rings of Two Towers, and I was like, I would love to play that game one more time.

21:13Hayden:You can probably just buy a junk PS3 and then it's definitely backwards compatible for that.

21:18Mitch:Yeah. They'd probably take like 50 bucks.

21:21Tom:Yeah, I should probably do that. I never had a PlayStation 3, though.

21:25Mitch:Well, I went from PlayStation 2 to 5, so I went from 2 to 4. I went from 1 to 5. Well, see, I didn't have the original Xbox, I had PlayStation 2 at the time.

21:34Tom:Yeah, I had the original Xbox, and then for Christmas, like a year later, I got the PlayStation 2.

21:37Mitch:That's my my Xbox uh career started with three uh the 360.

21:41Tom:So I've had I remember arguing with my mom because like I I want Xbox 360, all my friends had 360s, we're all playing Gears of War, Call of Duty, you know, they had Xbox Live. It's like I want that. And she got me the arcade one that doesn't come with the hard drive. Yeah, that one comes with a little memory card and it doesn't come with the router.

22:00Hayden:Oh, like the discount Xbox?

22:01Tom:Yeah. And I'm like, what is this? I'm like, what's this Xbox for Ants?

22:05Hayden:We got Xbox at home.

22:07Tom:But I'm like, I'm like, explain, like, I need the router. I need these like two things to play online. And she's like, no. She's like, you're not playing online. And I'm like, what do you like? Why? And I'm like, so I can play with all my friends down the street. And so I can play with Tiny Nick and everybody. And she's just like, no. She's like, how am I supposed to use the phone if you're playing Xbox? And I'm like, I'm like, do I have to explain why fucking you? It doesn't work like this anymore. I'm like, we've moved past dial-up. This is 2006.

22:33Hayden:Did you were you were you alive when dial-up was a problem, Tom?

22:36Tom:Yes. Okay. Okay. I am messenger on AOL. That's what I'm saying.

22:41Mitch:I remember doing homework, and all of a sudden I'd pick up the phone and like, oh, not gonna redo the whole paper. Damn.

22:48Hayden:Yeah. Alright, well, in the uh spirit of nostalgia, I have some Halo trivia. Oh crap. Well, I know we've done this before, so I've made these questions considerably more difficult.

23:02Mitch:Thank you. Great. I'm pretty sure I failed the first time. Yeah, you did.

23:08Hayden:Ready for question number one? I'll go to Tom.

23:10Mitch:Oh. Like I says Tom and then looks at me.

23:14Hayden:What are the you're gonna you're gonna thank me here? What are the official names of the precursor programs that eventually formed the covenant? Whose schism led to the War of Beginnings?

23:25Tom:Read the first sentence. Read the question.

23:28Hayden:What are the official names of the precursor program that eventually formed the covenant?

23:36Tom:Like the races or something? Is that what you're asking me?

23:44Hayden:Going once? He's like, oh, is that a is that a sign? Is that a clue? No, it's not. Going twice? Mitch, would you by any chance know?

23:53Mitch:Uh the prophets?

23:54Hayden:No. Oh no. It is the reformers.

23:57Mitch:Ah, I was trying to think the robots that the Didex and stuff are part of. I couldn't remember what they were called though.

24:03Hayden:And the Stoics. I don't know.

24:05Mitch:The Reformers I remember, but I didn't remember the name until you said Mitch.

24:11Hayden:In the Forerunner saga, what was the actual biological name for the primori primordial entity known as the Timeless One?

24:22Mitch:Tough lot.

24:23Hayden:I don't know. Is that your guess? Yes. Oh no.

24:26Tom:Uh I don't know.

24:28Hayden:I'll give you a hint. Mitch has already said it.

24:32Tom:The prophet.

24:33Hayden:No.

24:36Tom:I don't listen when he tells you.

24:38Hayden:It is a precursor.

24:40Tom:Oh. The precursor? Yes. Oh.

24:43Hayden:Tom! What is the designation of Spartans who were genetically altered to require less sleep and synthesized extra adrenaline via the thyroid implant fibrous surgery during the Spartan III Gamma Company augmentation?

25:02What?

25:04Hayden:Was that a question? What is the designation of the Spartans who were genetically altered to require less sleep and synthesize extra adrenaline via the thyroid implanted fibrous surgery during the Spartan 3 Gamma Company augmentations?

25:18Mitch:You know somebody's gonna be at home just like yelling like, you idiots! Yeah, I have no idea. This is probably a little more advanced.

25:26Tom:This is PhD level.

25:27Hayden:So think about what what level Spartan is is uh John 112. He's a Spartan too. Okay. The next Spartan class that came out is considered better or worse.

25:37Tom:Worse.

25:37Hayden:Yes. Spartan ones! So they're they they're a class of Spartan that could be considered a semi-spartan? Subclass. Subclass, that's what they're called. Oh Mitch, what was the name of the San Shum high profit of regret's flagship during the Battle of Earth in Halo 2?

25:57Mitch:Good question. Tom.

26:02Tom:Is it high charity? No.

26:04Mitch:The endeavor. No.

26:05Tom:Truth and reconciliation.

26:07Hayden:It's solemn. Titanic. Solemn vow. Solemn penis. Penis. Okay.

26:11Tom:Solemn penis?

26:12Hayden:Yes. Tom, which spartan. Which Spartan 2 was left behind on Reach during the fall of Reach, survived within the Menechite Mountain Forerunner Complex and was later rescued by Master Chief.

26:31Mitch:Jerome.

26:33Hayden:No.

26:34Mitch:Noble 6. No. Craig.

26:36Hayden:No.

26:37Mitch:Juniper. Or Jupiter.

26:38Hayden:Spartan058, otherwise known as Linda058. Linda! Linda! Or apparently Spartan 85084, Spartan 104. There's Fred 104, Kelly 87, Will 043, and Dr. Halsey were inside the mountain.

26:56Mitch:Good job.

26:57Hayden:Alright. I'll tell you what, first person to get an answer right now.

27:01Tom:At this point, I was like, I was like, I don't think any of us have gotten a correct answer.

27:04Hayden:Uh Mitch and Halo 3 ODST, what is the name of the superintendent's secondary personality subroutine that was created to protect Dr. Daniel and Desha's daughter, Sadie?

27:19Mitch:Read that one more time.

27:20Hayden:What is the name in Halo 3 ODST? What is the name of the superintendent's secondary personality subroutine that was created to protect Dr. Daniel Andesh's daughter, Sadie?

27:32Mitch:Can I have a hint of the first letter?

27:35Hayden:Uh it is a character from Dante's Inferno.

27:39Mitch:Nine.

27:40Hayden:No.

27:42Tom:I don't know. Lucifer.

27:43Hayden:Virgil.

27:45Mitch:That didn't tell me anything.

27:46Hayden:Tom, what is the complete designation of the ancient human warship flagship commanded by the Lord of Admirals Fourth Inco during the Human Forerunner War?

28:01Tom:Jeff.

28:02Hayden:It is the Mantlid's Intent or the Idrisil's Class Heavy Cruiser equivalent Fourth Inco's command ship. God, you're so close.

28:13Mitch:We're gonna ask him Power Ranger Trivia next. I know, right? In-depth Power Ranger Trivia.

28:16Hayden:In-depth. You guys know about Halo. Not this much! Oh Tom, you've read the books, haven't you? No.

28:22Tom:Oh I've read I've read a lot on the Wikipedia page. Oh, that's basically this. On Halo Wiki.

28:28Hayden:Mitch, what was the specific physical location of where Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez trained both the Spartan 2 and Spartan 3 candidates? I think you would know this one, Tom. Reach. It is on the planet Reach, but specifically where? What is the name of the camp?

28:48Tom:Camp June, I don't know.

28:49Hayden:No?

28:52Tom:Is it like kind of like an on the nose?

28:54Hayden:It is. It's very on the nose.

28:56Tom:Camp nose! Camp Spartan.

29:00Hayden:You got it?

29:02Tom:Uh no, I'm blanking.

29:08Mitch:Camp Courage.

29:09Hayden:Oh, I thought you were gonna say it's Camp Courahy.

29:12Mitch:Oh.

29:12Hayden:Oh you could have given me a Banner Brothers moment.

29:17Tom:You could have said like easy company to come.

29:20Courage.

29:23Tom:Sure. That could have been the winner.

29:25Hayden:That could have been. Tom, what is the full name of the AI created from the clone brain of Catherine Halsey before Cortana?

29:37Tom:Catherine Halsey point two.

29:39Hayden:No. I don't know. She was uh considered a prototype. I remember this. She was a prototype. Um, but her what's it called when the rampancy? Yeah, her rampancy was like way escalated and she died really fast.

29:54Tom:Eve.

29:54Hayden:I don't know. It was Calm Kal Maya. Oh okay, yeah.

29:58Mitch:Calmity.

30:00Hayden:Just wanted that to be an answer. Bitch! In the expanded lore. Like we didn't we don't know the regular lore! What was the name of the Ungoy the Grunt who led the Ungoy Rebellion against the Covenant in 2462?

30:19Mitch:Ugala.

30:20Hayden:Nope. It was the subminister of abatement.

30:26Mitch:Ah, yes. I'm glad we're doing this.

30:28Hayden:Yeah, this is great. Let me see if I can find an easy one.

30:31Tom:What are we doing on the next episode? You're gonna just shoot Mitch in the foot with an air gun.

30:34Hayden:If I'm not the one doing the trivia, it means you guys are doing the trivia.

30:39Mitch:Yeah, but we knew trivia that at least one of us will know.

30:42Tom:There's been some one-sided trivia, but normally but normally it's not one-sided to the point the person that knows is the one reading it.

30:50Hayden:Oh, I got this one. Alright. Alright. Mitch. Uh oh, I guess it's your turn, Tom. In the book Halo, also in the first game of Halo, who was the name of the UNSC who was first infected by the flood and uh whose fully conscious memories Master Chief discovered through a video play. What was his name?

31:14Mitch:My name is Jeff.

31:19Hayden:We've all played this cutscene together. Yeah, but I don't remember. I wasn't paying attention. It's a Hispanic name. No, it's not. No, it's not. And I even commented that this is the most stereotypical like NPC fodder name. Smith.

31:33Mitch:Andrew. John Jenkins. Jingleheimer Smith.

31:38Hayden:Smith. I'll give you a hint, it's a J name. Jeremy. No.

31:42Mitch:Jones?

31:43Hayden:No.

31:45Mitch:Jonathan.

31:46Hayden:Jenkins.

31:47Mitch:Oh, Jenkins. Jenkins! Jenkins! Well, so much for that easy one.

31:52Hayden:Yeah, you're not gonna get the rest of them. They're all in like uh whatever the Swal Healy language the elites speak. Alright. Sing gaily. It's a zero to zero, so therefore I get to pick.

32:04Mitch:And then we spin. For the punishment. Yeah, that's fine. Then we'll spin.

32:08Hayden:Okay.

32:09I'll do it. I'll do it later. We'll do it tomorrow. Oh, well, thank you. So.

32:14Hayden:Uh okay. Well, that was a fun waltz down the memory lane.

32:18Mitch:Was it? Was it fun? No, no.

32:21Hayden:To be f to be honest though, like there's not been anything good. Like, there's not been any new Halo stories, unless you count the TV show, that have come out in what? Five, six years.

32:34Mitch:Well, that's only new because they changed the way it was supposed to be.

32:37Hayden:Yeah, I wouldn't really count it either.

32:39Mitch:Um they still doing that Warhammer show?

32:42Hayden:Yeah, he got hurt doing it, didn't he?

32:44Mitch:Yeah, so they had to kind of delay it a little bit, but Eric Vill got hurt? Yeah. Is he okay? I think so. I called him yesterday. All right, good.

32:52Hayden:He just did a movie recently I watched. Well, I wasn't saying he's doing Highlander as well, so uh he did um what's it called? We had uh him and Jake Gyllenhaal, and uh it was called Roadhouse 3. It it it kind of had that feel as a guy, it was a guy Richie film.

33:06Oh yeah, it's Roadhouse Three.

33:08Hayden:Um let me see if I can figure it out.

33:09Tom:It's Pub.

33:13Mitch:They should do the English version of Roadhouse. It's called Pub Pub. That's a good one, Tom. Let's write that down.

33:23Hayden:It was called In the Gray. And then Jake Gyllenhaal and uh um What was that on? Uh Amazon, I think.

33:33Mitch:Okay, confixing I seen it somewhere, like a trailer or something. I thought that was the Liam Neeson Wolf movie. No, that's just the gray. The gray, not in the gray.

33:42Hayden:So she this this main actor, uh, her name is you'll recognize her face. I mean you probably won't recognize her name. Um she is uh Isa Gonzalez.

33:55Tom:Everybody knows Isa.

33:56Hayden:Yeah. And uh she's like this basically like black operative comp corporate entity lady that uh can fix problems for corporations that have a lot of money. And uh this uh cartel dude basically has a billion dollars that he won't pay back to some company, so they hire her to fix this problem, and she has a whole team of like legal people that work the problem, and she has two illegal people that work the problem, which are Henry Caville and Jake Gillino. And um they this dude like has an island, he's you know, he he's got his like owned city on this island, and he he owns the police, he's basically like the mayor, the the emperor of this island. Uh and they have to go and basically convince him to get to

34:41Hayden:give you know the money, but they kidnap he kidnaps the lady as their boss, and so they kind of go rampant on the island, you know, and it's pretty it's pretty fun to watch. I enjoyed it for just discovering it, and it's brand new, it just came out. So I would recommend it. The action's pretty good. It's got Richie, kind of heist, heisty kind of vibe movie.

35:00Tom:So like the like the gentleman?

35:03Hayden:Uh yeah, I didn't like the gentleman as much as everybody else did. I didn't like that movie, but uh this was fun. Um so I'd go for it. The there's a lot of like innuendo between Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal the whole time, like they keep making like gay jokes to each other, you know. And I'm like, I was funny like the first 15 times, and you're like, are these two dudes actually gay? It's like, is this what you're just trying to tell me? So I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it was it was funny. So yeah.

35:35Tom:How did Guy Ritchie break the news to Jason Statham that he wasn't gonna be in the movie?

35:38Hayden:When's the last time Jason Statham's been in the Guy Ritchie movie?

35:41Tom:I thought they only did movies exclusively with each other.

35:44Hayden:He wasn't in Aladdin. That you know about he was the paint. He was the lamp!

35:49Tom:He played with that ball! He played the sand. They just painted him tan and he just laid there.

35:55Mitch:It's just like whoo. Well, I I recently watched a new TV show, which is not a new TV show, it's a continuation of an old TV show, The Grand Tour. They made it with three new British guys. I didn't have the heart to They do it right though, because uh Jeremy Clarkston, James May, and Richard Hammond. Richard Hammond are all in it. They they go like in different different episodes, they go and like visit them because like in the very first episode, like within the first three minutes, they go and visit Jeremy Clarkston at his uh farm. Rest they go to his restaurant and he they go walking into the big tent, they're like, Yeah, we need something like this. Just kind of joking around. Well, they go up to Jeremy and he's like standing there at the

36:36Mitch:cash register, and he they're like, So, you're the new guys, huh? He's like, Don't F it up. But they they kind of like talked with him. There's uh one uh episode where they go and meet James May and they're talking to him about some kind of boring thing. And he's like, So, what can you tell us? He's like, I don't know, what do you want to eat? He's like, I'll fix you your hamburgers, just I don't do car stuff anymore.

36:56Tom:I don't get paid for that now.

36:58Mitch:There's one where they basically they had to wreck these cars in one episode, and whatever was you know, the one that was still drivable, they had to take to uh uh Richard Hammond's shop, and he's like, Which one, which one, like, which do you like? Like, did you see the other episodes? He's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, who was better? He's like, uh Did you watch them now? But they're all they all include them, and it's really good. And there's a lot of times where like I was just like laughing at these guys, these new guys, because like you know where they're coming from, and they have different enough personalities where they're like the original trio. But it I mean it came out with all six episodes right from the

37:33Mitch:start, and they do some of the similar plots, like there's that they had from Top Gear, when uh like there's one where they race a train from I think I want to say it was England to Belgium, and they're you know, one of them's trying to like ride the train and then they're on bikes while the other one's trying to drive their car and take a ferry as fast as possible. Which you know, it's pretty fun. There's uh because during that one, there's one of the guys, he's like riding a bike and he's like, here, let me look up something. And the the moment he picks up his phone, he eats like over a cone and just yeets himself across the handlebars. It was pretty funny. There's there's one episode where they're racing, like

38:08Mitch:basically doing a relay race with jets. Where they're they're uh one of them has like a uh the it's an all-electric, like some kind of Honda or something like that. And he's doing nearly 200 miles an hour trying to race this jet around, and you know, they almost win. It was pretty impressive.

38:23Tom:There's no way you can because they did one on I think they did they did it on top gear.

38:28Mitch:Well, because the jets have to take off, they have to take a big bank around and come back where these guys are just doing the triangle.

38:34Tom:So James Mays was like, it was a straight shot and then stop and come back, and it was against like a Eurofighter typhoon that took off at the same time, like got to where he had to stop, went vertical, like straight up 90 to whoever elevation, and then dropped back down and came down to cross the finish line.

38:51Mitch:Yeah, because see in this one they were both sitting still, they both went down the runway and he had to take off while the other one and you know the the jet has to go out and arc and come back, or he just had to slow down to turn, make the turns and come back. So I mean it's they the way they did it, they explained it's like you know, it's it's relatively for the speed that they can go, similar distance. But it was pretty cool. And then there was a lot of there was a lot of good episodes that they had that's just just comedic stuff.

39:15Tom:Well, yeah. I think it'd be a while before you could do a show like that again with new people.

39:21Mitch:Right.

39:21Tom:Especially with the style like Jeremy James and Richard, it's still fresh in people's minds.

39:26Mitch:Well, I mean, that's why I kind of I like that they were in it and they kind of yeah, they kind of they kind of give the nod to like you know, these guys are you know, they know what they're doing.

39:33Tom:Instead of like what Top Gear did. Right. And they just brought in like that three new American guys. No, there's one uh two of them were British. Oh well, it's just like some guy, then they got what's his face from friends.

39:43Mitch:Well, there wasn't there was a new uh Yeah, they got Joey.

39:46Tom:How you doing?

39:46Mitch:They had a Top Gear like all American version where it had like one of the guys is the guy that does like the floor with lava now.

39:52Tom:Oh really? Yeah, they had like the German one, the Australian one, because they would show up on British top gear and do challenges that the British guys rigged. So they can like when they brought the Australian ones, they brought them in like a prison transport.

40:04Mitch:Well, like in one of the episodes for this grand tour, they have where they're basically it's these cars that are banned in America because they're so small, like you can ride two of them in one lane, but they're driving them and through some of the states that they're banned in. They basically take a bus and take the shell of a bus and they try to drive side by side across the road because they can't go all off-road with them. They have to drive through this one part, so they go through a town, and they're like three pieces of a bus trying to stick together. That's funny. Because then they get stopped by the police, and the police are like, get this off the road now.

40:35Hayden:I watched a show, and you'll be proud of me because it is a football show. Chat Power season two. I did.

40:44Tom:I watched it too! I haven't seen that yet. I forgot I watched it.

40:47Mitch:I forgot that it was out.

40:48Hayden:I watched it in one night. They dropped it all at once, all six episodes. Yeah, burned right through. It's a smart show because it's yeah, it's not it's not stupid long, and they can crank it out every year, and they drop it all at once. So it's like a fire and forget kind of show. But uh, the writer, the guy who made the show, he was like, I didn't even know if we were gonna get past season one, but now that this is so big, um, I'm gonna announce that season three is the end. And I think that's a smart move. Yeah, they need that in season three. Because like they the story is fresh and it's good every episode. There's no filler. Yeah. Um, because the you know, the the gimmick is this dude, Russ

41:26Hayden:Holiday, is a washed-out professional football player.

41:30Tom:College pro he's a college player.

41:31Hayden:Oh, he was a professional. No, he didn't go prokay. Well, he was just trying to go professional, but he didn't get a contract.

41:38Tom:Yeah, because he blew the national championship against Jordan.

41:40Hayden:Right. Yeah. So he uh he loses his contract with like the XLF or whatever the heck it's called, you know. Yeah, because he's a jerk. He's a jerk.

41:51Tom:He's a douche, he's Hayden. Yeah, he's football Hayden. Thanks, Tom. And then uh Well, it's because he's played by Texas Hayden.

42:00Hayden:Okay. No, that's I thought is he Texas Hayden? Yeah, it's Glenn Powell's Texas Hayden. Well anyway, so he he puts on this prosthetic because his dad is like a costume designer for Hollywood.

42:09Mitch:Big nose.

42:10Hayden:Yeah, he puts his c uh this prosthetic face stuff on and he cat poundier. He makes his uh premiere for the the South Georgia catfish.

42:18Yeah, goatfish.

42:19Hayden:Yeah, and uh you know brings that team into you know um still stellar right so and this whole show takes place over just this one season. So like they're that's season one, right though?

42:31Mitch:No.

42:31Hayden:Oh the whole all three seasons are for the one season of football.

42:34Tom:Okay, because I was wondering how they're gonna continue if season two starts their 5-0 and they're about to play Georgia. Right.

42:40Mitch:Okay. Well, because that's what I was wondering, because like if season one was the end, it's like how do they go to another season with him still pretending to be this guy?

42:46Tom:Well, the end of the season is they play Texas, win, and then that gives them into the playoffs. They blow a game against Arkansas.

42:54Mitch:Yeah, I didn't realize that was like all one season for there wasn't a lot of football in season two.

42:58Hayden:No, and I'm fine with that because it's more about the drama of the gimmick. I want a little bit more football. They uh, you know, the the the head coach is like he's like emotionally attached. Unstable? Well, no, he's like he has a heart attack if he gets too stressed, and obviously like this is stressing him out.

43:17Tom:And like the because he comes back and they're just like, yeah, oh, the doctor's cleager. He's like, yeah. And they're sort of like you can't coach anymore. Like it'll kill you. And he's like, Nope, I gotta go back.

43:26Hayden:But he doesn't know that Chad Powers is actually Russ Holiday.

43:28Mitch:I was gonna say, I couldn't remember if he found out in season one or not.

43:31Hayden:Now, uh by the end of season two, basically everybody knows except for the head coach. So, like, it's all these like people that are keeping the secret because they want the notoriety of the team to win a national championship. Yeah. So, and that that that's the drama bit that that really hooks me and keeps me invested into it. So I'm excited to see where they go with it for Zoom. Damn Jerry.

43:56Man, they made him have to be crazy, didn't they? They went wild.

44:00Tom:Let's just amped up this bar to 11. He's got like because he'd be like, alright, can ask the team, you know? God bless him. And then like the rider to shut up.

44:10They break into his apartment, this Jerry guy's apartment.

44:12Tom:He was he was the quarterback until you got like big titted anime women like staving him and it's like holding him up, and he's got like his little motorcycle helmet on with his football pads, and it's dub.

44:23They're like, What is the apartment of a dweeby college, you know, crazy guy? But he lives above a laundromat.

44:30Tom:That's like that's not even like in service. It's it's like closed, it's just there.

44:34Okay.

44:35Tom:It's really funny. You know, I really coach is like planning evidence. Like the one lady she goes, Did he cut off his TT and put it in a in a lunch bag? She's like, I hate art. She like opens it up, she's like, Oh, it's worse than a T T.

44:49Hayden:It's a really good show. And it was it was like all the rage for like the week that it came out. Yeah. And then everybody forgot about it.

44:57Mitch:I remember saying it was coming out, and then I completely forgot to watch it, and I didn't realize the whole thing had come out.

45:03Hayden:I really enjoyed that. And then um me and my wife have been watching Ride or Die. Uh, I don't remember if you guys watched Ted Lasso or not. No. Well, the lady from it, her name is Hannah. Let me spell that H A Samsonite! I was way off.

45:22Tom:Hannah.

45:25Hayden:It is uh Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer. You guys remember uh uh The Help and all that?

45:33Mitch:I think so, yeah.

45:34Hayden:So she's an American who's married a British guy in politics, and then 25 years later he's like a uh MP, and uh but Hannah Waddingham's character is uh a trained professional assassin. And she's like using Octavia Spencer's character to be like undercover and maintain a sense of normalcy. They go to book clubs and stuff together. Obviously, like the secret gets out and spirals out of control, and they're on the ride, you know, and and like they they kind of lean a little bit into some of the Bond stereotypes, but gender swap a lot of it. So like I'm watching this and I'm like, that dude's dead. And my wife's like, stop it, he's a good character. I love this guy, and I'm like, and then like like 10 minutes

46:16Hayden:later, she's like, How do you do this?

46:18Tom:How do you it's like it these are tropes, it's easy. Yeah, like once you know it's just you're just like reading the map. It's like eh, that that there he goes.

46:25Hayden:Yeah, like I I paused it and I looked at her and I was like, Do you want me to stop telling you like how like tropes and stuff like this work? Because it spoils the story.

46:34Tom:She's like, Yeah, like you can put on any war movie in a disgusting, I just gotta get back home to Doris. It's like he's two weeks for retirement. It's like, and he's gonna die.

46:43Hayden:He's not making it today's my last day.

46:47Tom:It's like the guy who has nothing, he's crazy. It's just like, yeah, he'll probably go home.

46:52Hayden:Yeah, but it's a good show. Uh I um I I like the fact that it's equal parts, you know, British and American out of water kind of vibe. And uh it's got a decent amount of action. The the way they do all the spy craft stuff is kind of goofy. Some of the gimmicks and stuff that they have is like, you know, like everybody's cocking rifles and stupid things like that. But uh the plot is pretty, you know, self-contained, and I think it's worth the watch. My wife really enjoyed it. So you want a movie to sit down and have a decent amount of action to keep you interested and a decent amount of story that makes sense from episode one to I think it's like eight episodes.

47:33Tom:So we should do a little top ten list of gun truck. I mean, we're weapons people of stuffed in movies that just makes you mad. Like when you see someone with a Glock and you hear the safety click and you're like, doesn't have one. It doesn't have one.

47:50Hayden:The lanterns movie. Okay, the lantern show. I I it's okay, but anything from Damon Lindelof is so stupid. I I just can't stand that writer. He he he doesn't know anything about the stuff that he writes about, you know, and then like Jon Stewart is this guy that's supposed to be so like a sniper and super qualified and stuff like that, so much so that he wants to spy on somebody so he goes to a gun store to buy a scope so he can just own the scope so he can just watch a guy. I'm like, why not buy some binoculars?

48:20Tom:Yeah, or buy a spotter scope.

48:22Hayden:Yeah, that has a little tripod that you could sit and like you know and then the dude's like, Oh, I don't sell just scopes, you have to buy the rifle with it. I'm like, what no place does that?

48:30Mitch:So yeah, well, they were doing that just because they wanted to try and discourage him from buying.

48:35Hayden:Well, who cares? You know, and then and then he goes back and he gets a rifle for his scope and he just puts it on, but doesn't sight it in, he doesn't have zero. Yeah, like he's gonna he's gonna he's gonna shoot.

48:46Tom:Did he even get like a sight level to make sure like really stupid, you know?

48:50Hayden:And one of the things that I liked about that in the gray movie is like a their prep was them citing weapons. Like Richie knows weapons, okay? Like when they're when they're prepping for like the heists and stuff like that, they they show them like doing all the stuff that mostly normal people would do.

49:06Mitch:Because he's one step down from Michael Bake. He wants stuff to blow up or be destroyed.

49:11Hayden:So I just nobody's I I get that like there's a wide range of audience out there, but most people know sort of how a weapon works. You don't you don't cock rifles, okay?

49:23Mitch:And bullets aren't infinite.

49:25Hayden:The the worst gun trope I think I've ever seen is when somebody goes to find a bullet from evidence, you know, and like like like they've somebody's been shot and they find the bullet and it still has the casing on it. That yeah, it's like that's the shop like that.

49:39Mitch:Or the ones where they see that the bullet's been shot, it's the whole thing, you know.

49:42Tom:Yeah, yeah. Like there's no fragmentation, warping, nothing. Nothing, you know. It's like that was a hollow point. Like that should be so you're pulling out shrapnel.

49:51Hayden:Right. A lot of dumb stuff like that, but I digress.

49:55Mitch:As we're getting towards the end, we're you know, after this episode, we're gonna kind of move towards the horror stuff. So I wanted to get a little jump on that. So I I took your idea from last time where you have to pick the 10, but you you don't know what's coming next.

50:09Hayden:Ah, okay, cool.

50:10Mitch:So in in this list here, if these things were these creatures or monsters or killers were chasing you, which one would be worst, which would be number one, to the the one you feel like you could take care of the easiest, which would be number 10.

50:24Tom:Okay. Okay.

50:25Mitch:So we'll start with number one. And if one of y'all could write these down just so I can uh keep up with who what what order you write them in.

50:34Alright, hang on. Go ahead, Tom. You got this, Tom.

50:36Mitch:As the entertain this scribe. Number one, a xenomorph. So one one to ten.

50:45Tom:Ten is like, no. Yeah, I can't do it.

50:48Mitch:Well, no, uh a one would be the one you can't do.

50:50Tom:Ten would be like the one you feel like you could take. I mean, I could confidently say a xenomorph's probably like two.

50:55Mitch:I mean, because you know, you gotta think, like you said, we're we're weapons guys. We know how to handle guns.

51:00Hayden:Do I have access to weapons?

51:01Mitch:Do I have access to um let's just say, you know, on your way home, you stop at Walmart and it's coming after you from there.

51:10Tom:Xenomorph in the Walmart. Are the lights on? Like, did it cut the power?

51:14Mitch:I don't think Walmart sells guns anymore.

51:15Tom:No, they don't.

51:16Mitch:The one around here does.

51:18Tom:All right, we're at the local one. Well, let's just say that uh, you know, you're in your But then I gotta get into the cases. I don't know if they take it.

51:25Mitch:You're making this way more complicated. Whatever you would naturally carry in your cars with you, and you have to stop at a store or something.

51:32Tom:Okay, so I'm gonna say xenomorphs probably a two.

51:36Hayden:I'm gonna say a five. Because I have a feeling there's some like supernatural stuff coming that there's just no getting away from. So you wanna say a four?

51:44Tom:But the xenomorph's like the perfect like predator. But I know predator is probably on this list. It is one xenomorph, but one xenomorph killed that entire list. Let's say four. Let's say four. Alright, four. Okay, so that's in your number four. Yeah. Jason.

51:59Hayden:Okay, so you can't say Jason Voorhees.

52:01Mitch:Ten. Yeah, I could take him. He's supernatural. He doesn't die. We'll we'll we'll go with the Friday the 13th with Jared Padlecki Jason, where he technically is still a person.

52:13Hayden:Okay.

52:13Tom:Look, once he takes the first five rounds of 357 to the face, and then I cut his head off with an axe.

52:18Hayden:Do I have prep time? Well, like I said, you you have whatever you want. I guess I could get away from him walking to go get prepped.

52:25Tom:Nah, he does run.

52:26Hayden:He does run?

52:27Tom:Yeah, he runs.

52:28Hayden:In that one, he does. Oh. I can still outdrive his run.

52:32Tom:Not the way you drive, you drive slow.

52:34Hayden:You haven't seen me in an emergency?

52:36Tom:What, you gonna do 35?

52:39Mitch:Well, let's just go with this. You're at your house and you you realize something somebody gives you a text like, hey, this this is coming for you.

52:46Hayden:Alright. I'm gonna activate Kevin McAllister mode. So get the paint cans. Alright, we'll we'll say nine. Alright. Because there's gonna be something worse, I guarantee it.

52:56Mitch:Alright. Chucky.

52:58Hayden:10. Yeah, that's probably punt him out the window. I don't understand how that is like the people make the stupidest mistakes. Like when he's stabbing through the door and that lady is sitting down, watching the knife come through the door like in a move. Like in the shot. Just stand up. When they're when he's running at them, you know, to stab him in the shins, they're just like letting it happen. And I'm just like kick the thing. 12 gauge. Yeah.

53:22Mitch:Alright. Nemesis from the Resident Evil.

53:25Oh, that's like a two.

53:26Mitch:No, we'll say that he just has a regular gun, he doesn't have his rocket launcher.

53:30Hayden:Oh, well that's nice of you. You can't just kill him either. You gotta like blow him up, burn him, incinerate him, wait for his thing to pop out, and then shoot that too.

53:40Mitch:Oh well I'm just thinking of the movie. I don't know what the game is.

53:42Hayden:I don't know how the movie works.

53:44Mitch:You gotta shoot him enough.

53:46Okay, I'm gonna say two. Yeah, I get Nemesis out of two.

53:52Mitch:Michael Myers.

53:54Hayden:Okay, is this supernatural Michael Myers? Is this uh the Michael Myers from the first one?

53:59Mitch:We'll go for the first one.

54:00Tom:Oh, okay, so yeah, he tanks a lot of shots. I'll say eight. Yeah, yeah. I put him up there.

54:07As in like he's easier to kill.

54:11Tom:Easier is probably to subdue.

54:13Hayden:Well. Alright, so you you shoot him until he stops moving. Alright. And then you cut his head off. You see like the Widow's Bay thing where like she shoots a Michael Myers archetype character and he goes down, but she keeps her shotgun trained on its head until they put it in the incinerator. And she's like standing at the incinerator with the shotgun. And then when they open the incinerator, she like pushes all the ashes and bones around to make sure which is the bigger one. Like why like his pinky bone doesn't go by the way?

54:40Mitch:The Michael Myers game has come out.

54:42Yeah. Yeah.

54:43Mitch:And it's it's like four players. It's almost like the uh Dead by Daylight kind of stuff where there's four players, and uh the fifth player is Michael Myers, and everybody else gotta try and survive, set traps, and warn people and survive.

54:55Hayden:Can you can you run? I I don't know.

54:57Tom:You can only run tens paces and then you trip.

55:00Mitch:Alright, next one. Freddy Krueger.

55:04Tom:Yeah, I mean I'm in a dream, which means I can think of whatever I want. If you're like, I don't know, if you're lucid enough.

55:11Mitch:Well, that's what I never understood. Because like if Freddie Kruger.

55:14Tom:I have the powers of the Emperor. I'm Negate Power.

55:18Mitch:Well, because like you have the other kids that think, oh yeah, and then one pulled out the switchplate. It's like, why would you why would you have a switchblade?

55:24Tom:Or it's like I have the powers of Magneto. Hey, those are nice metal claws.

55:28Hayden:If it's like the Green Lantern where you can just literally have whatever you imagine. Yeah. Okay. So then like seven.

55:34Mitch:So you just pull him out of the dream and kill him, or you know.

55:37Hayden:Yeah.

55:38Mitch:Alright. Pennywise. Now that you know his weakness from the uh you know from the movie.

55:43Hayden:What, to not be scared? Yeah.

55:47Tom:That makes it weaker. Just insult him enough. Yeah.

55:51Hayden:You're a you're a blockhead. Blit licker.

55:54Tom:Get out of here, you cootie queen. You talking to macaroni ears.

55:59Hayden:He might be one.

56:01Tom:He might be one. It's getting over like me like violently defecating myself.

56:07Hayden:Yeah, you're not scary.

56:10Tom:Alright, hang on. Weird Scarsguard Pennywise or Tim Curry Pennywise. We'll go with Tim Curry.

56:17Mitch:Alright, one. Alright, the werewolf from American Werewolf in London.

56:23Tom:Oh, that's a werewolf silver. Yeah. I don't know. Six? Yeah, six.

56:27Mitch:Okay. Leatherface.

56:30Tom:That's just a regular guy.

56:31Hayden:Yeah. But he should be like closer to ten, but whatever. Five? Yeah. What do we have left?

56:41Mitch:There's one left.

56:42Alright, what is it?

56:43Mitch:The vampire from Fright Knight.

56:46The original. Alright, three.

56:51Mitch:And then as gracious as Hayden was, you can you can switch two. Like flip-flop them.

56:59Hayden:Do you think the vampire is pretty easy to kill?

57:02Tom:Oh no, I haven't seen it. I haven't seen that movie. You ever seen Fright Knight? No. Oh wow. I mean it's a vampire with stakes through heart, crucifixes.

57:08Hayden:The hard part about Fright Knight is you don't know who the vampire is.

57:11Mitch:Yeah, and he's smart. He's not dumb.

57:14Tom:I got a jar of garlic in the garage.

57:18Hayden:I don't think that works.

57:19Mitch:I don't think it bothered him now.

57:20Tom:Oh, so he's like a special vampire.

57:22Mitch:No, it was basically stakes, sunlight, or silver.

57:29Yeah. I mean I still think that three is pretty high for it.

57:34Hayden:Yeah, I think we can switch him with what was number 10? Chucky. That's very solid. Nine was Jason.

57:50Uh well, okay, what was uh what was five? Weatherface. What was six?

57:58Tom:Werewolf. Freddie Krueger.

58:05Hayden:I I I would probably put Freddie Krueger higher than the vampire or I couldn't put him higher than Michael Myers. Freddie Kruger?

58:14Tom:Yeah. Because Michael Myers number eight.

58:17Hayden:Well then let's switch the vampire and my Michael Myers in. Alright.

58:22Mitch:So what's your list then? From the easiest to the hardest.

58:26Tom:Well, easiest at number 10 is Chucky. Then Jason Voorhees. Then uh The Vampire. Which was number eight. Freddie Krueger at seven. Werewolf from the American Werewolf in London is number six. Leatherface is number five. Xenomorph is number four. It gets a lot it goes off the rails real quick. And then what's his face? Michael Myers, then Nemesis, and then Pennywash. But I feel like Pennywash should always be number one because he is like a primordial, like he's a god-dimensional being. Yeah, he's a he's a there's also somewhere a giant turtle with like a forest on his back running around.

59:11Hayden:Yeah, they're like the yin and yang of each other. He's essentially the ear of worlds.

59:16Tom:I mean, I mean, I'd probably be doing good and he'd be like, look at the dead lights, and then like that's it.

59:20Mitch:I'm like, he doesn't go after adults. You know, you're good.

59:23You're too old. He does if he has to.

59:27Mitch:Okay, well, that's you know, as we're depending on real.

59:30Tom:I'm not going looking for him.

59:32Mitch:As we were getting, you know, getting closer to the Halloween season. I just want to kind of get a start in that direction. So the next episode. Spooky.

59:39Hayden:Or our bad movie that we have to watch. We have to watch the 1980 classic horror film Alligator. Yes. Mitch has to watch it.

59:50Mitch:Woo! It's called Alligator?

59:52Hayden:Yes, 1980.

59:53Mitch:Alright. That's not so bad.

59:57Hayden:Okay, well, we did it. We did a recording, guys.

1:00:01Tom:We have recorded content you have listened to.

1:00:04Mitch:In the next episode, we need to watch the stuff that we say we're gonna watch to record.

1:00:09I don't know what you're talking about.

1:00:09Tom:I was dating Brandon.

1:00:11Mitch:All right, well, goodbye, everybody.

1:00:14Tom:I was like, if you just hit the record button, it's right.

1:00:17Mitch:Entertain this dot app.

1:00:19Yeah.
