0:00Hayden:I'm sad, Mitch. Why are you sad? Because everybody died this week. I know they got everyone. They got everyone. Everybody. I saw a meme about uh Home Alone 2 is gonna hit different this year.

0:11Mitch:Oh yeah, yeah. It had like six people that was on there. That was like I should probably turn Mitch's mic on. Oh yeah, then I can hear myself. Actually, it was nicer this one.

0:20Hayden:But yeah. Anyway.

0:30Mitch:It may work. It got worked.

0:32Like a money five thoughts.

0:33Mitch:Get on with it!

0:45Hayden:Hello! And welcome to Entertain Us, a podcast about movies, TV shows, and video games!

0:51Oh sorry. Gabs.

0:53Hayden:My name is Hayden.

0:55Mitch:With me, I've Mitch. Hello! And intern Tom.

0:57Hayden:Our special guest today is Tom. Hello. He brings his viral, viral self back. I am back.

1:05After having another child. Stop doing that.

1:08Hayden:Decreases popular.

1:10Mitch:Or at least give it some time.

1:12Hayden:Yeah. Shut up. So uh yeah. Poor woman. He's back. He's back uh finally off of his PTO or whatever, and uh, you know. The one week.

1:26Oh, yeah, another kid you get one week.

1:28Mitch:Well, look, we don't get paid to begin with, so taking paid leave is really unprofessional. That's right. How dare you!

1:33Hayden:Just, you know, put it into your retirement. Uh but before we begin and talk about what we're gonna talk about, which I know. Mitch, social media.

1:42Mitch:Well, you can go to entertainths.app and it will take you to everything. Everything. Or you can go to our TikTok, Instagram, or uh YouTube X, and it'll go to entertain this underscore or YouTube is at entertain this59. But if you go to entertainths.app, it'll take you to our website, which has links to all of our social media. Uh has links you can listen to the uh the podcast there. Uh you can look up just random news that you know, even if we we haven't covered it, it's got a whole filter to see news. Um you can leave us uh well if you sign in and become a member, which is completely free. I'm not gonna harass you on your email, but uh it leaves you to where you can make suggestions for things for us to watch or

2:25Mitch:punish us to watch. Uh you can compete in trivia that's actually been pulled from the podcast, from all the episodes. It just it pulls currently there's 300 questions, and then those 300 questions will kind of cycle every month and they'll change. And if you know, if you're the top, you're gonna be the top of the leaderboard, it'll show up up there. Um let's see, what else is on this thing?

2:46What else did we do? What else did you make?

2:48Mitch:Oh yeah, you can look up some of our blogs, uh you know, just kind of see some random thoughts that we have every now and then. Uh you can go to our ratings board where you can see the ratings that we've given to everything we've either played or watched. And then, like I said, if you're a member, you can sign in and you can rate, and it'll kind of average out everyone that's a member what they have. Uh what else do we have? We have some polls where like right now we have going who would win in a fight? Master Chief or Darth Vader?

3:20Hayden:Darth Vader does have the force. I think it depends on like the location.

3:24Mitch:I don't think it does.

3:25Hayden:You don't think so? Because Darth Vader can move a ship with the force. Well, Master Chief can move a ship with his bare hands.

3:33Mitch:He might be able to survive if you're gonna have to. You ever watch him flip a warthog?

3:37Hayden:I'm just saying, I've seen Master Chief kill armies by himself. I've only seen Darth Vader kill a couple people by himself.

3:44Mitch:Have you read the books? Nah, those don't count.

3:47Hayden:Even Disney says those don't count.

3:49Mitch:What about the comics that Disney makes? Nah, nah. Uh and then we also have uh kind of like says a hot take here. Indy Naverett from Obsession. Whether you think she should have been cast as rogue or not.

4:03Hayden:I don't know why everybody's so upset about that. I I'm not.

4:06Mitch:I think she looks fine.

4:08Hayden:Okay, she's also a fine actor, too.

4:11Mitch:I mean, she looks fine, but she looks she looks appropriate for the role. Like she looks simple.

4:16Because of that, she got the Mitch vote.

4:18Hayden:She looks similar to like the character. You could be a great casting director. Yeah, she looks appropriate for the role. Do a little twirl for me, honey. Look how appropriate she's gonna be. That would just fit in, right? Yeah. Your cast, your uh character sheets on the ground over there. Why don't you pick that up for me? That's right.

4:33I'm Mitchell Weinstein.

4:35Mitch:I was gonna say, let me give my boss Harvey a call. Hey Harvey. How bad do you want this job, Sugar?

4:41All right.

4:42Mitch:Um sorry, one last thing. You can also uh give us voicemails and you can ask questions either through voicemail or you can just text and ask us questions as well from entertainthis.app.

4:51Hayden:This is also a secret audition to be a part of our podcast full time to replace somebody. Because if your voice sounds better than Mitch or you show up more than Tom does, you got the job. The bar is not mine.

5:02Mitch:I'm just saying, you know. Good luck replacing me. Even if I'm not talking, good luck.

5:07Hayden:We're just gonna do a quick background check.

5:09Mitch:All right.

5:10Hayden:I got a thing for you guys. A thing? Yes. All right. Before we jump off into uh uh true lies. Yeah, that thing. All right. So it's in the episode title. I I haven't I haven't read it yet. I'm in the episode title. Did you check the script once in a while? Fast forward this Spaceballs movie. Uh we're gonna do a top ten list, okay, of the best action movies. All right, but I'm not gonna tell you what's on the list. You're just gonna have to pick a number and hope that that sticks. Okay?

5:38Mitch:Oh, so you're gonna give us a movie and we gotta rate it from one to one to ten.

5:41Hayden:Yep, but you can't if you can't make a movie, take it on a movie spot. unknown: Okay.

5:45Mitch:So once we pick a spot, that's where it's gonna stay.

5:47Hayden:And my criteria for action, I'm gonna go ahead and say, is loose. Yeah, we gotta figure it out.

5:53So Interstellar's number one. Braveheart is number 11.

5:58Hayden:You guys, you guys have to argue it out. I'm just here facilitating the list. Okay. Okay. All right. Alright. The first one that I'm gonna propose for this list is Spider-Man, the 2001 one. Is it 2002? 2002. 2002.

6:13Mitch:That we're reviewing next. Oh, we're reviewing that? No.

6:17Spider-Man 2002.

6:22Mitch:Now one's the best, right? Yes. Okay.

6:25Nine.

6:26Mitch:Wow. Yeah. Spoiler, when we review that, it's not as good as I remember. You both say nine. I'm saying nine. I'd go for that.

6:35Hayden:Alright. Spider-Man is placed at nine. Okay. How about True Lies?

6:42Ooh. Huh. Movies we're gonna talk about. Yeah. Uh true lies. I'm gonna say true lies is number three.

6:54Mitch:Whoa! I would say seven or eight. Yeah, there's a bit of action. Yeah, but you got the whole bathroom scene. But whether it's the best or not, I've seen many other good action movies.

7:05Hayden:I need you guys to agree on a number.

7:09Mitch:You said three?

7:10I said three.

7:11Mitch:Let's do happy medium five.

7:12Alright, true. Alright, five. Okay. Two eyes as a five.

7:17Hayden:Alright. It's like John Wick!

7:20Which one?

7:22Hayden:Alright, the next one is Predator.

7:24Number one! Yeah, Predator's number one.

7:25Hayden:Predator's number one. In our hearts. Okay. And minds. The next one is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

7:32Mitch:Number two. Really? For me, yeah.

7:35Hayden:Okay.

7:36Mitch:I mean I can't, it can't be one, so it's gotta be two for me. Is this you're talking about the original? Yeah, okay.

7:43Your favorite one.

7:43Mitch:Yeah, it would be number one if I hadn't known it was on the list.

7:45Okay. At least for me. So we're saying Teenage Minute Turtles is number two.

7:48Mitch:Yeah. Yeah. Alright, alright. Alright. I mean, it's for an indie movie, it's it's a pretty perfect movie.

7:54Hayden:Uh Lord of the Rings.

7:57Mitch:Oh, well. So you have to assume it's gonna have to be three then. It's worse.

8:02Hayden:It's worse than Teenage Mini Didles, Tom. Not in my mind, but not in the mind of any sane person.

8:09Mitch:It's an attack against me and you. It is. Alright.

8:13Hayden:The Matrix.

8:15Mitch:Yeah, 10. I was because I don't like that. Oh, okay. Put it at the end. Goldeneye. Oh. It would have been worse. It would have been 10 for me. I don't like it. Really? I don't like James Bond.

8:28Let's see. We already got one through three, five, nine, and ten. Goldeneye's got a lot of good action, though. You got a whole tank train chase.

8:38Hayden:Great game based off of it.

8:39Great game. Four. Wow. I'm just gonna have four.

8:42Mitch:I would give it eight. How about six? Okay. I'm gonna happy medium with you.

8:50Hayden:Okay. Uh mission impossible. Eight. Yeah. Alright. Uh Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.

9:01Four. Yeah.

9:02Hayden:Star Wars is number four.

9:03Mitch:If we have to agree or disagree on them, it's gotta be.

9:06Hayden:You guys flew through this list. So the last one's Braveheart.

9:09Yeah, Braveheart's gonna have to be number seven.

9:11Hayden:Yep. Wow. You guys are saying that uh true lies is better than Braveheart.

9:16Well now that we know I think a lot of people say that.

9:18Mitch:Now that we know no, Braveheart would be up to it.

9:21It's one of the most historically inaccurate movies like ever. It's not about being accurate, it's about how could the It's like Mel Gibson heard about this dude while he was like taking a whiz and some guys were talking about it in the stalls.

9:31Mitch:I'm gonna punish him with Braveheart one day.

9:33I've seen it.

9:34Mitch:I've seen it. You're gonna watch it full times again.

9:37Hayden:Mitch, you have the list in order. Yeah. Go ahead and read it off, please.

9:41Mitch:Uh well start from ten and go down to one. We have ten at the Matrix. Uh-huh. Nine is Spider-Man, the original 2002. Eight is Mission Impossible. Seven is Braveheart. Six is Goldeneye. Five is True Lies. Four was Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back. Three, Lord of the Rings. Which one was that?

10:03Hayden:What's your favorite one? Fellowship. Okay.

10:05Mitch:Okay, that'll be it. Number two, THU and Ninja Turtles, which you know it is better than Lord of the Rings. Just Tom's Galare. Just look at the camera time. Tell them how you feel. But then one we can both agree on Predator is number one.

10:20Yeah. Alright, alright.

10:21Hayden:I'm okay saying Predator was number one. For an action movie. I will allow you get to switch two movies in a list.

10:28Mitch:I will switch TMNT and Lord of the Rings if you want. Or Lord of the Rings with Predator. Stop being so agreeable. Although Lord of the Rings is a good movie.

10:36Hayden:Yes, but like you're supposed to fight. I'm not gonna fight. I'm trying to create chaos here.

10:42But Predator is a better action movie than Teenage Mutual Ninja Turtles.

10:45Mitch:Well then let's we can switch Lord of the Rings and Teenage Mid Ninja Turtles. Alright, let's get with that. I love Ninja Turtles, but Lord of the Rings looks amazing.

10:51Hayden:This is why I need new co-hosts.

10:53Mitch:Please apply. So do we.

10:54Hayden:If you want to replace Hayden Brandon.

10:56Mitch:So yeah, we'll switch Lord of the Rings and Ninja Turtles.

10:59Hayden:Alright, well, I was hoping this would take up some time and you guys would bicker and argue and throw out facts about why your movie's better than their movie.

11:05Mitch:We're not argumentative like you are.

11:06Yeah. Me and Mitch are friends. Well, good for you.

11:13Hayden:You're friends until the apocalypse happens, and then Mitch is gonna eat you. So I shot my co-host for his Costco stash.

11:20Mitch:Costco? She needed a leg. Let me get that leg. No one Tom would be hairy.

11:30Hayden:That was my gimmick. I'm working on some more stuff for visual, you know, flair once we get our setups better set.

11:37Mitch:I want to get a neon sign that has our like entertain this on it, but that requires money and time.

11:42Hayden:Once we get a better setup for our setup, I will have it.

11:45Once our setup has set up.

11:46Hayden:Yeah, we're not done setting up our setup, so just sit patiently while we set up. It'll be another year.

11:56Mitch:Yeah, it'll be it'll be a middle of the ten.

11:57Hayden:Alright, that's my contribution to this podcast. Tom. True lies!

12:01Mitch:Oh yeah, we're doing true lies, not Spider-Man. That's right. That's right.

12:03We said true lies like four times. It'd be stupid to do Spider-Man now.

12:07Mitch:It would be. I thought we were doing Spider-Man.

12:09No, we're not. No.

12:11Mitch:I want to say the one quote I pulled from this movie to write down it said, kids, 10 seconds of joy, 30 years of misery.

12:18Tom Arnold has such great we'll talk about. Because there's another line that Bill Paxton says that I was like, what?

12:25Hayden:Bill Paxson's in this movie?

12:27Yeah. Yeah.

12:28Hayden:Maybe if you'd have watched the movie. I've seen it once.

12:31You said you've seen it 10 times. Now it's once. Which one is it here?

12:35Hayden:I've seen it once this millennia. How about that?

12:39So anyway, the plot of true lies. Harry Tasker. To the knowledge of his wife Helen and his daughter Dana is a mild manner computer hardware salesman often away on business trips. In reality, he works for Omega Sector.

12:54Hayden:How does a hardware salesman work in the 90s? Like, hello, do you want computer hardware?

12:59Do you want the IBM and not? What's it gonna take to make this sale?

13:03Mitch:I just want to know at what point did the FBI or CIA come up with the Omega Sector.

13:08Hayden:Yeah, it's top secret. I remember loading DOS games and my dad's like really old computer. I don't I don't even know what it was called.

13:15Computer.

13:16Hayden:Yeah. And and they had to like go through program files to find the game, and I would just click on random stuff, and it would be like just data or a game would start. You had no idea, you just rolled a dice, see what was gonna happen.

13:28Mitch:Well, it's like you know, back in the day when Ninja Turtle Shredder would threaten to end the world with a floppy disk.

13:32Hayden:Yeah, you knew uh you know you're old when the world could be ended by a floppy disk.

13:37Floppy disk took down a serial killer. Yeah, that is true. That is true. What are you talking about? BTK. Um yeah. He got cute in the 90s and sent a floppy disk in that he thought he erased, but they found a file from like the church he was at that he wrote, and they were like, Oh, it was he asked them, he's like, Can you guys pull stuff like that off of it? Yeah, he asked them. And they were like, No, yes, yes, they absolutely could. Yes, we can.

14:00Mitch:So, of course not.

14:03Why would you ask the people that are just an idiot, yeah, like us. Anyway, the Omega sector, a top secret U.S. counter-terrorism agency, Harry, aided by his teammates Albert Gibb Gibson and Faisal, infiltrate a party in Switzerland hosted by billionaire Jamal Khalid. At the party, Harry approaches Khalid's art dealer Juno Skinner, who is uh also a paid agent of Crimson Jihad, a terrorist organization led by Salem Abu Aziz.

14:31Hayden:Wow, they're really leaning into those like stereotypical Middle Eastern names.

14:35They were gonna make a second one, but they camera said after 9-11, he's like terrorism wasn't really funny anymore. It's kind of hard to make an action comedy about it.

14:43Hayden:Yeah, also it's interesting to take to like because 90s, that's like peak Russia. Everybody the Russians are the bad guys for everything.

14:49Yeah, this is past the downfall of the Soviet Union. Yeah, but still, like you had a lot of everybody's still kind of like looking at him like we know you're up to something over there.

14:58Hayden:It was interesting that they didn't do something like that.

15:00I just don't get how his wife thinks that he's like a computer salesman when it's Arnold. Yeah, it's like I saw it. It's like you look like you break computers on accident because your fingers go right through the keyboards.

15:10Mitch:I'm just saying, like he does all that, but who knew Jamie Lee Curtis was working with what she was working with? I like I until I saw the movie, I was like, oh my gosh.

15:18I wonder if Harriet was wondering that too.

15:20Mitch:Because he's sitting there watching, like, wait, what? I could have been this could have been us at home. Well, well, like I know I get to it later, but like he's sitting there with the the thing in his uh hand that says his voice, and he drops it. Yeah. Picks it back up.

15:33Hayden:Mitch is casting again. Stop casting Mitch. Stop casting Mitch. Stop it.

15:37Because I don't think they were gonna cast it, they were gonna cast somebody else, and then they were like, no, like it's gotta be.

15:42Hayden:She was typecast at a long time to be. As a scream queen. Right. And for her to break out into a different role. This might have been the role that did it for her.

15:48No, she had done other stuff in like the late 80s and then like the very, very early 90s. She was in like a police drama, she was like a cop.

15:56Hayden:But to do an action movie that's like nothing horror or suspense. It means suspense, but it's not like threatening suspense.

16:03Mitch:So suspense actually drops an Uzi down the steps. Yeah, it's funny. It shows all those cards.

16:09The best part of this whole movie is Tom Arnold. As his like nerves after a while, but like a lot half of his lines that he puts in is stuff he's taking from his real life getting divorced by Roseanne Barr. It's like she took the ice cube trays. Who even does that?

16:23Mitch:Wait, was he? I thought he was married to Rosie O'Donnell.

16:26No.

16:27Mitch:Roseanne Barr? Okay.

16:28Yeah.

16:29Hayden:That's why he's so crazy.

16:30Mitch:That makes sense.

16:31Yeah, he was a normal guy.

16:34Mitch:I don't know how normal he was.

16:36Hayden:He's uh he's very annoying though.

16:37I I do agree with the he has the he has the best one-liner though. He has the best line to me in the entire movie. What was that? Where they kidnap Simon and like they leave him like at the dam, and he's just like, you gotta take me with you, and he just like pulls out a gun and starts shooting at his feet, and he's like, I said F off.

16:53Hayden:And he's just like Bill Paxton was awesome for this movie. He played like that smarmy, you know, like he played sleazy, yes, really well.

17:03Mitch:Well, I like when they go to kidnap him and his wife, and then like somebody like he calls in basically the omega sector. Yeah, the whole government's there trying to help you know kidnap his wife, and then somebody grabs his wife and like hits her, and then Arnold grabs the guy that hit her, just knocks him out, and then carries his wife away. Yeah. I thought that was pretty good.

17:24Um the audience doesn't like that.

17:27Hayden:Yeah, we're filling in front of the labor. Um but uh I was gonna say. Never mind, I don't forgot what I was gonna say. Go ahead down.

17:33But like he shows up in like the wetsuit and he's got the tuxedo on underneath it. Yeah. And I'm like looking, I'm like, man, it's like that must be one hell of a dry suit.

17:41Mitch:Yeah. Because like he still had crisp. Yeah. Didn't have like a crease, didn't have like a drop, nothing could probably sew that wetsuit on him.

17:50And he's just like, oh, it's so it's good to see you. And the guy's like, oh yeah, you too. And he's like, Who is that? I don't know. They're just like it was like they just lampooned like Bond. Yeah, yeah.

18:00Hayden:Him playing inconspicuous is kind of stupid because like he's huge, he's got a crazy accent, you know, and like he looks like a Hollywood guy. Like, it's not like you know, oh, that's just some guy I think I saw in the office one time.

18:15So I would remember. That's Mr. Lunquist.

18:19Hayden:Yeah.

18:20Posing as a potential art entrepreneur, Harry visits Juno, leading the terrorist to attempt to kill him. Harry fights them off, but loses his ease in the pursuit. As a result, Harry misses the birthday party that Helen and Dana planned for him the next day. Harry goes to Helen's office to reconcile with her, but instead overhears her secretly arranging to meet someone called Simon. Which they fast forward a lot because he meets Tia Carrera and dances with her. Yep. Yep, we can yep. Stop casting, Mitch. Stop. No, that was great casting. I don't even know what you're talking about.

18:52Mitch:It definitely was.

18:53That's all right, that'll be he makes his like escape, and then you get like the the whole car chase with uh him like leaving or trying to like get away from the henchman. Yeah, they get like a bathroom like shootout. Yeah, and like there's a dude just in the stall, yeah, like with a paper, just you know, minding his own business, just you know, taking his break.

19:13Hayden:You ever been pooping in the high school bathroom when a fight breaks out? Like in the bathroom, you're just like, Don't notice me. You never had that sensation?

19:20That's like when you have like you know, the fart, and it's like, you know, the horn of gondor.

19:25Mitch:People are like, there's somebody pooping in here, and you're like, uh, if I had to go, I always just went down to the locker rooms.

19:33Yeah. Because you you get a really cool chase with like the motorcycle and the horse. Yeah. And like the horse like almost like killed Arnold.

19:40Mitch:I just want to say, there's no way he would ever have made that jump on a motorcycle from roof to roof.

19:46Oh, it did a whole butt he landed in a pool.

19:49Mitch:It did the whole because he jumped over like a six-lane road or something like that.

19:54Hayden:It did the whole like uh, you know, his hidden invisible ramp thing to like get it some weird.

19:58Mitch:He didn't even get lift, like he just went because the building was a little bit shorter, so he just went like straight off. No, it went, yaaps. He rode an elevator all the way up to that floor on the motorcycle.

20:07Then Arnold rode the elevator with the horse. unknown: Yeah, yeah.

20:10Mitch:And then he's yeah, he's chased him, and the guy just goes straight off. Uh and lands in a pool.

20:14And Arnold's like yelling at the horse. Like the horse stops and he falls, and like you like telling the horse like back up and he gets back on. He's like, What were you doing? He's like, Why'd you stop? He's like, We couldn't have made that. Let him get away. He's like, it's just your fault. And the horse is like, Aww.

20:28Mitch:Well, like when he jumps with the motorcycle though, it shows you like a top-down view of him jumping over. And it and it's it looks bad. If you include the sidewalks and six lanes of traffic, there's no way he's gonna make that distance.

20:39Hayden:You don't know unless you try it.

20:41Mitch:He couldn't go that fast on that rooftop in that short of distance to you.

20:44And then I'm like, where's the police? Yeah, and I'm like, you have the shootout in the bathroom, and then um Gib gets shot at by a Z because he's got like the little AK, the bad guy one. Yeah, this you know, the the bad guy one. The stick face one. The bad guy in charge, AK. Oh, okay. Not the full size, but the the shorty. Yeah. And he's shooting at him and he hides behind like the street pole. And it's like like all around. He's just like, oh, and he's like patting himself. He's like, look at these like sticking out on both sides. He like kisses his hand and like pats the pole, and he's like, but he's just like, as soon as like it hits the rails, he immediately is like out of the car, pulls a gun, and he's just

21:19running going like Venomeka down!

21:21Mitch:I mean, it's funny though, because like he's standing behind that pole and he's like doing the whole twitching thing as like rounds are flying around.

21:28Hayden:That's like Mitch hiding behind a toothpick.

21:30Mitch:Pretty much.

21:31Hayden:It was. It was really funny. The first time I saw this movie uh was the duh, like the TV-centered version on Network Cable TV. Oh, yeah. And all the profanity. I remember them saying the goofiest lines, and I was just like, you know.

21:43I want to be the guy that has to write those lines. Yeah. Because still the best one is snakes on a plane. Oh, yeah. You can't be sci-fi channel. I'm sick and tired of these monkey flipping snakes on this Monday through Friday plane. I wonder what he really said. Ah, it's Samuel Jackson. We all know what he said. Don't need to be it doesn't need to be told. Suspecting Helen is having an affair, Harry uses Omega Sector resources to learn that Simon is a used car salesman who pretends to be a spy to seduce women. In disguise, Harry and other Omega agents arrest Helen and Simon. After terrifying Simon to keeping away from Helen, Harry and Gibb interrogate her while hiding their identities. They understand she is suffering a midlife crisis and is

22:24desperately seeking adventure. They arrange for Helen to participate in a staged spy mission where she is to seduce a mysterious figure who's actually just Harry and plan a bug in a hotel room as the fake mission proceeds as these men burst in and capture Helen and Harry.

22:37Hayden:What a great use of taxpayer money right there. Let's help Arnold Schwarzenegger save his marriage.

22:44Because like when he's riding in the car and he like has like the zone out moment where he like beats Simon to death. Yeah. Because he's just like bashing his head into the dashboard and Bill Paxton just like pops back, and there's blood all over his face.

22:56Hayden:That was the first time I saw something like that in a movie, too, where like the cutaway where it didn't happen. And I was like, wait a minute. I was really confused. I was like, did he kill that guy or not? And it blew my mind that you can just show somebody murdering or punching somebody, and then like the next shot, it just didn't happen. I was like, I don't know, I'd never seen that, and it took me forever with my child brain to try and like reconfigure how the movie was going at that point.

23:20I just like when they show up and they ripped a side off of his trailer. Yeah. But the efforts this dude's going through just to get laid.

23:26Mitch:Oh, yeah. He's telling her like he's a secret agent.

23:29He's got like a briefcase with like fake passports and money.

23:32Hayden:Doesn't he say something? He says, I'm I'm just a I'm a what does he say to the like when he's betting? He's like a pathetic, he's got a tiny wiener. That's what he says.

23:41It's really tiny. I was quoting Hayden.

23:51Hayden:Whenever Tom talks too long, I'm a tiny wiener.

23:56But where he's in the car and he's like like talking about um Jimmy Lee Curtis's features. And he says, like, he's like in an ass like a 10-year-old boy. Like, I was like, what? What exactly? I was like, what'd you just say?

24:10Hayden:That's a strange uh strange take there, guy. Yeah. And I'm like, what do you like, what? Yeah. I don't know. He's just trying to say the most offensive things, and he that's the way you do it. He won. Yeah.

24:21Mitch:But I like how like they have the whole highway chase and all that, and then you have the explosion. It's supposed to be a nuclear bomb, and everybody's just like, oh, that's bright. Okay.

24:33Hayden:I forgot about that. Yeah, the the the bomb.

24:36No, there's a bomb in there. I think it's a different movie. I think that's collateral damage. Yeah. Uh they're all the same. But then they kidnap Helen, they're like interrogating her. And like the whole time, like uh Tom Arlott keeps like covering his mic, and he's just like, bro, it's like she's gonna leave you, she's gonna take everything, she's gonna ruin your life. She took the ice cube track. It's like, don't do it. He's just like losing it, and then it's just like, no, we're gonna pretend and put her in a spy mission. And like Helen answers the phone, she's like, Hello, this is like Harry Top Card. It's like Operation Condor's in a factory. She's like, hello. And then I love you get Charlton Heston like doing like the

25:11workups with him, and he's like in charge. He's got an eye patch. Yeah, and he's in the movie for like four scenes. It's because he's like he's out of the movie like the rest of it.

25:18Hayden:He's probably dying while they were shooting it. How much longer did Charlton Heston?

25:22I think he died in the 2000s.

25:23Hayden:Did he?

25:23Yeah. Yeah, because he does Wayne's World. Yeah, he does Wayne's World later. Was that like or he does Wayne's World 2?

25:30Mitch:I was gonna say, I thought because I thought Tia Carrera got popular from the original Wait Wayne Wayne Wayne's Worlds. Wayne's World.

25:36I don't remember when the Wayne's Worlds came out.

25:37Mitch:I knew the first one came out before True Lies. I don't know when the second one did.

25:40Hayden:I wouldn't remember. I haven't seen Wayne's World forever.

25:43Mitch:We're not worthy, you know, you know, the whole thing.

25:45So I debate him to death with their own shoes. Anyway. Anyway, the striptease scene. Yeah. Where she's like ripping off parts of her dress and like the water and the slick back, and R. Schwersick is just like sitting there in the dark with like the French guy's like audio recording. Yeah, and he like just drops it because he's like entranced.

26:03Mitch:Yeah. I like I like how she's doing like the dance, and then she drops the little thing she's supposed to hide.

26:09Doesn't actually slip. She likes slips and falls, and he's like about to get it to help her.

26:14Mitch:She's like, she just pops up and she's like, uh yeah, she's like she's like doing this thing against the pole, and then all of a sudden just falls.

26:20Falls right on her butt.

26:21Mitch:It's like she like goes out and straightens her arm and loses her grip, just falls down to get back up.

26:26It was like that was funny. Ah, and then they get busted, and she's like, and Harry's like trying to be like, no, it's me you want. And if she thinks she's really a secret agent, she's like, No, if my husband doesn't know anything, I'm the one you're after.

26:36Mitch:She hits him in the head with the phone, like the valve, like the rotary phone.

26:41And he gets a good like noise. But it's like it's funny to watch it where she is like, oh, he's a secret agent. She's like, it's like, no, he's not. It's like he's a computer salesman. And he's just like, uh it's like, how long? Since we've since we've met.

26:58Hayden:Have they introduced their their uh daughter yet?

27:00Yeah, where she's like running out of the house stealing money.

27:03Hayden:Yeah, she's the most annoying kid in the face of the planet. I remember even as a kid, I was like, oh, you're doing too much, lady.

27:10You're doing too much.

27:10Hayden:Just let her go. Let them have her. When they kidnap her later, just nah.

27:15Mitch:Well, I like how when the the bad guys kidnap uh Harry and was it Helen? Helen, Harry and Helen, and then he's like got the truth serum, and he's like, I wasn't lying. Because he he tells them exactly how he plans on killing him and then does it.

27:28Yeah.

27:29Mitch:And she's like, How are you so good at this? He goes, I don't know. It's like it did affect me, but I'm fine now.

27:35He's like, Oh, I'm good, I'm good.

27:37Mitch:But that's when she she has the magic Mac 10 drop as it just well, I'll I'll read that part.

27:43Magic Mac 10 drop. The couples are taken to an island in the Florida Keys where Helen realizes Harry's double life and that he was misleading even before they were married. Harry discerns Juno had managed to smuggle four nuclear warheads. I'm not reading out the technical term, by concealing them in phony antique statues. Aziz sends a message threatening to detonate warheads in major cities unless the US government withdraws their forces from the Persian Gulf. He starts a timer to detonate one warhead on an unhabited island as a demonstration. That dude filming him, and the low battery light just keeps blinking, and he's just and it goes out, and the dude's like on a roll.

28:23Mitch:He's just like yelling into the camera, and he's like, the guy didn't want to interrupt, but the battery's getting lowered. That's funny.

28:30He's like, the battery's dead. And he's like, go get another one. He's like yelling. It is pretty funny. But everybody just wants to blow stuff up.

28:41Hayden:You ever been in like a Zoom call and the dude's like presentation's not working, but he's just on a roll talking about it. And he's like, who's gonna break the silence?

28:50Mitch:He's like, uh, hey, hey, hey guy.

28:54Harry breaks out of his restraints and kills his would-be torturers. The couple discover that one warhead is set to explode in 90 minutes while the others are loaded into vehicles to be taken to the mainland via the overseas highway, bypassing U.S. customs. In the ensuing mainland, because that's how that works. It's hard. It's like okay. Harry and Helen kill many of the terrorists, but the main convoy drive off with the two warheads while he carries one on a helicopter. Helen is caught by Juno and taken in a limousine following the convoy.

29:22Hayden:But like getting them, okay, getting them into America, you know. Without like what, four people chasing them down? Yeah. Do you know like if there was a sniff of a of a somebody just misplacing it? If it would shut down the country. If the most like mundane lunar colony developed nuclear warheads, and then they're like, oops, we we lost one, everybody would be uh losing their mind. Yeah.

29:45So aren't there like three or four we don't know where they are?

29:49Hayden:Well, it's Russia. They don't know where they are.

29:51Mitch:So supposedly there was one that I can't remember who's US ones. Well, there was one that was in a sub that sunk that fell down into the trenches, and they don't know exactly where they just know the area that it disappears.

30:02It's just somewhere there. Because I remember reading that about the city.

30:08Hayden:Well, that's where you want to put a nuke then. unknown: Yeah.

30:12Yeah. Anyways. But yes, you get the magical scene where uh Jamie Lee Curtis drops the MAC 10 and it magically only hits the bad guys.

30:23Hayden:Yeah. Uh she fires it and like snatches out of her hands, right? Yeah. That's actually kind of scary because there's been people that have killed themselves with doozys on accidents before.

30:32Mitch:I believe it. Yeah.

30:33Because it's funny, like watching like Harry just drop these, you know, terrorist dudes, and she's just like watching, like, oh my god. It's kind of like in Indiana Jones where like Indy like shoots all those Nazis. Yeah. And Sean Conry's like, look what you did, Junior. He's like, I've never shot before. It happens to me all the time. I want my wife back. Different movie. No, sorry. But then she gets captured because he she like cuts Tia Carrera's face and like they punch her, and it's like, no, take her in the limo.

31:02Mitch:She does the whole like spin the ring backwards and slaps her.

31:05Hayden:Yeah. That is a trope in the 90s. If like the the the girl next door kind of character, the the pretty girl that uh you know joins the adventures, there's gotta be an equally hot chick on the bad guy. On the bad guy team, and they have to fight. That's the rule.

31:20They have to fight. Chick fight! Check fight! Check fight! But I'm just like, there's no like you have this gigantic highway, and like there's no like checkpoint. Like you could just go to the other islands and well they got to let the nuke in. I feel like I hope I hope somebody watched and was like, should we do we do we have anything? Like, is there like a some surveillance something down there?

31:45Hayden:We got like a meter maid. Stop!

31:48It's got the little swing arm, yeah. You with the nuke. It's Grace from Ferris Bieler's Day Off.

31:56Mitch:But like Banda. Alright, get distracted, squirrel. All right, um, anyways, there was a uh why is they're chasing them down. That's when the nuke goes off, but then they find out that Aziz took his daughter, and there just happens to be a Harrier jet standing by.

32:13Because like they rip off like I think uh her locket or something, something like that. Some of his wallets, you know, some McGuffin that has a picture of like Harry and Helen and then their daughter, and he's like, kidnap that lady, go find her.

32:27Hayden:I love how every spy in every movie knows how to fly or drive or swim every vehicle known to man. It's part of training. No, it's not. Yeah. Do you know how complicated it was?

32:37He's like, you haven't flown in like 12 years. Yeah, right. Yeah, he's like, it's like riding a bike and he's just like tip-flipping stuff.

32:44Hayden:There was like 12 of them that existed, you know, let alone they were all brand new at the time. Right. And and and he just happened to fly one, you know.

32:52Mitch:I'm telling you, it's all part of training. That's dumb.

32:54Because even when they were doing like the helicopter. Like they were like, you know, flying like well past like the safety thing. Yeah. And Hameron's like, no, you guys gotta get closer. Can you guys get closer? Can you guys get closer? Finally, they're like at the city, he's like, Can you can you just do it? Like, give me one good one. Yeah, and like they were within like feet, like he's in the helicopter and like they're filming like the bridge thing, yeah, and the hairier jets come flying by at like you know, hairier jet speeds.

33:17Hayden:Yeah, I've only seen them uh once in real life, Harrier jet. I don't I don't think anybody flies them at all anymore.

33:25Mitch:Probably not. I mean, because they're a cool idea, they're kind of impractical.

33:29Hayden:No, they're very dangerous too, because it's uh complete and also like it it just melts the fuel to hover or whatever.

33:37So we have enough thrust to get off and then go forward and not fall.

33:41Hayden:Yeah, but all that stabilizing that it takes to like be slow and off the ground. Yeah, it just melts everything.

33:46Mitch:So well, because as opposed to using aerodynamics, I mean it's gonna just gotta be straight lift.

33:50Yeah.

33:51Hayden:Yeah, also you can't land necessarily like that because it'll the the heat coming from the thing will just melt asphalt or whatever you're gonna do.

34:00Mitch:And then your tires should dig in.

34:03Or explode from the heat. Gib and other omega agents pick up Harry, two marine Harry or jump jets destroy part of the original Seven Miles Bridge, intercepting the convoy, hanging from a helicopter, Harry rescues Helen from the limo before it falls off the bridge, killing Juno. The warhead left on the island detonates without killing anyone. Yay, they did it. You see what uh they're having like the convoy fight, and the dude fires the RPG, or this he has like stingers or something, and the guy's like behind him, and he looks like no, and he like launches the dude like out through the windshield of the truck. I love how there's the driver starts yelling at it's like look what you did.

34:39Hayden:I love how there's always a nuke blowing up in an island that is not inhabited.

34:44Mitch:Yeah, because we have a lot of those around the US.

34:46You remember like uh when nobody knew it was on the other side of that island, there's just some guy fishing, and he's just like oh man, he catches like the biggest fish he's ever gotten in his life. It's like a record breaker's for retirement.

34:56Hayden:Yeah, like uh uh Batman versus Superman, where like doomsday blows up or an island, and then like fortunately it was uninhabited. I'm like, come on. Right, exactly. I hate that stuff. Just say, like, it's it's a movie. Just say like a million people were killed. There's a guy cra camping with his grandkids or something, yeah. Gone. unknown: Yeah.

35:14Mitch:All the hobos that were in that uh Batman Superman Island raised them stakes.

35:18Hayden:It's like uh it's like Mark said in the interview. Yeah, yeah. You gotta kill people.

35:22Mitch:Make it real. You gotta have something on the line. You know, kill everybody.

35:26Harry's told by Gibb that Aziz and his men are holding Dana hostage in a Miami skyscraper and are threatening to detonate their last warhead. Harry commandeers one of the jets to rescue her. Faisal or Faisal gets into the building pipe posing as a news cameraman. Dana steals the missile control key and flees to the roof. While his Faisal kills several of Aziz's men, Aziz pursues Dana onto a tower crane, and then Harry arrives. Harry rescues Dana, struggles with Aziz, and has him ensnared at the end of one of the plane's missiles, which Harry fires at a terrorist helicopter, killing Aziz and the remnants of Crimson Jihad. And the family is safely reunited. Crimson jihad.

36:03Hayden:Yeah. This was a Michael Bay film with more money.

36:07You know, better directing, more money.

36:09Hayden:Yeah. But like all the McGuffins, like uh, oh, they got the nuke, it's in the thing, but wait, they need the key for the nuke, and that guy's got the key that's killed that guy. I did like the guy's camera with the gun thing. That was cool. Oh, yeah.

36:24He hit his Glock.

36:25Hayden:I do remember when he fired the missile and uh the dude was like strapped to it. Yeah, he's like, You're fired. Yeah.

36:32You're fired. And he's like the rocketeer going flying, and the helicopter guys are like, but like the way like he hit, like he went like through like the center of like a Huey, which is open. So you think he just would have went flying through? They would have eviscerated whoever was in the way. Yeah. He probably would have gotten blown apart and the straps were broken, the missile just would have kept going and then hit, like, you know, Miami Dolphins Stadium.

36:57Mitch:Missiles have a proximity like explosion, don't they? Don't it's not content?

37:00Hayden:It depends. You can set whatever.

37:02A year later, Harry and Helen are working together as Omega agents. While on a mission at a formal party, they encounter Simon working as a waiter and pretending to be a spy. Simon runs away in fear after they reveal themselves and he pees himself and threaten to kill him to avoid jeopardizing their covers. Harry and Helen dance the tango while Gibbs pleads with them to take their work more seriously.

37:23Hayden:Yeah. What a wacky group of heroes. They're likable people, aren't they?

37:30Yeah.

37:30Hayden:Too bad they didn't come back because terrorism, bam.

37:33They all wanted to come back and do another movie. Yeah. What were they sequel? Well, if you had to give it a truer lies. True. I think it was just like true lies too. More truth, more lies. Two true, true lies. I don't think it was just true lies too.

37:46Mitch:How boring.

37:48Because they talk about doing it in like 1997. And you know, uh Tom Arnold and Arnold met with Cameron, and then they were talking to Jamie Lee Curtis about her coming back too. Yeah. But Cameron's too busy doing Titanic. Yeah. And you know, making people suffer in a gigantic swimming pool. Yeah. He's like, you're actually all gonna die. We're gonna build the Titanic and sink it. Whoever whoever makes it to the end of the movie makes it.

38:11Mitch:They get to be in the credits.

38:12Good luck.

38:13Hayden:Um the uh the James Cameron's known for like you know terrorizing his actors. I wonder if anybody like was you know injured or almost died or drowned or something like that. Was there a water scene in in True Lies?

38:27Yeah, kind of aren't like scoobing scoobing around in the beginning. Just hold your breath lower. And then he almost died or got hurt from like the horse stunt. Oh, yeah. That they did.

38:35Hayden:Yeah, there's always something. James Cameron's just like, nah, you'd be alright.

38:39Mitch:I I did come up with a couple of superlatives for the movie. Like uh nominated Harry for most likely to trigger a congressional hearing where he's using all his resources. Jerk senators just sitting there, like, you know, Mr.

38:52Tasker, you know, in your capacity, is your right to remiss from property, government racial outcome?

38:57Mitch:I uh had the best accidental career pivot with Helen. Yeah, like if she just gets to go be an agent, it's like I mean, like what training?

39:04Hayden:It's because uh their marriage was on the rocks, so and then the most confident cowardice for Simon.

39:11Mitch:Oh yeah. Oh yeah, he was he was like fully confident in being a coward.

39:14Because he at the end of the movie, when he sees him at like the party, he pees himself there too. Yeah. Because like they leave him stand there in like his tidy whiteys.

39:21Mitch:Yeah. Yeah.

39:23Yeah, and he's just like pissing all over himself.

39:26Hayden:Yeah, Bill Paxson will do anything. Uh yeah, what a weird movie. Also, who would let a giant uh foreign-sounding individual be like have that much power in our country? You know? It's like uh he sounds like he's Russia. He could be working for the Cold War people.

39:47Mitch:As he was was the governor. Yeah, yeah.

39:50Hayden:In real life, I know that twice. I know that, but that's like after everybody's like he's established in real life, he's established himself. It was before he was the governor. I know. So I'm saying like the government who decides who could be the James Bond or the United States.

40:04Well, if R. Schwarzenegger ran for office, you're voting for him. You just are. I'm not disagreeing.

40:11Hayden:I'm just saying, like, let's make this guy. He's gonna terminate the opposition. He's definitely born in Kansas.

40:17Mitch:I'm gonna vote for The Rock when he runs.

40:20Yeah, when The Rock runs for president.

40:22Mitch:Well, I did uh create a little bit of trivia. Now, this isn't just true lies, because as we celebrate our summer of Schwarzenegger, that we've kind of you know a little month behind on, but I uh I have some trivia over all of Arnold movies, not just the ones we watch.

40:37Hayden:I'll let Tom answer all the questions.

40:39Mitch:Good luck. Number one! Let's see. Actually, there's Do I have to buzz in or Yeah, we can just see who knows what's going on.

40:46Hayden:One should take a turn so that way we don't have to yell at each other.

40:49Mitch:Sure. Okay. That just means you're gonna lose. Yep. Number one, in Terminator. What's the model of the cyborg?

40:57Hayden:T 800.

40:58Mitch:Yes.

40:58Hayden:Thank you. Yay. I get one, I need a handicap point. Give me like three.

41:07Mitch:Number two, in Predator, Arnold plays Major Who?

41:11Dutch Schaefer.

41:14Mitch:I was gonna say, if you just say Dutch, I'm not gonna have a chance to say the last name.

41:18Can I get a bonus point if I know his first name?

41:20Mitch:Sure.

41:20Alan.

41:21Hayden:What? Can I get a bonus point if I can say what the T 1000 is from TMR2?

41:30Mitch:Number three! In commando, what is the name of Arnold's daughter? If you've been here and watched a movie. I'm blanking. I don't know plays her. Carol. No. Can you tell can you tell me who plays her in the movie? Oh yeah. It's a popular person.

41:49Hayden:Uh Julia Lewis?

41:52No. No. Jenny Blazer. Oh, listen alone.

41:56Hayden:Oh, that's right, yeah.

41:57Mitch:But her name was Jenny. Jenny!

41:58I was gonna say Becky.

42:00Mitch:I'm not giving you any more extra points, that would help me. What catchphrase does Arnold use at the end of Predator towards his team?

42:10Oh, if it bleeds, we can kill it.

42:13Hayden:At the end of the day, you are one ugly.

42:21Mitch:What catchphrase does Arnold use at the end of Predator? Talking to his team.

42:34I really thought it was if it bleeds we can kill it.

42:39Hayden:He's in the trees. Shoot him.

42:45Get to the chopper! Oh, okay. He tells it to the hostage girl. The whole team's dead when he says that. No, all of them are dead. I thought the one guy and the girl. Give me the point. Billy already got sliced to pieces and Concho got killed.

43:00Mitch:I was thinking the one guy that had been like uh hit in the chest. Didn't you watch the movie match? Did you? Yeah, I did.

43:06No, because Arnold already got like blasted like in the arm. Either way, end of the movie. But his muscles deflected the way.

43:11Mitch:End of the movie. Alright, number five. We'll go back to Hayden. What role did Arnold play in Total Recall?

43:18Hayden:Uh, the main one. What was his name? Uh uh Deckard or Declan. Wasn't it something like that? Tom?

43:27Hauser. Darn it. Or Quaid. Douglas Quaid. Okay. They call him both. Yeah. Because he definitely plays both.

43:36Mitch:Well, if if Tom gets it right, I'll go back to you again to the next one.

43:39Oh, thanks.

43:40Mitch:Number six. In kindergarten cop, what was the name of the school? I wanted to make some of these larder. Either one, if either one you can answer.

43:50Young people elementary.

43:52Mitch:No.

43:53Holly Springs.

43:55Mitch:Astoria Elementary.

43:57Hayden:I'm so close.

43:58Mitch:Hayden. Yeah. What was the Name of the main villain in command. Yeah.

44:04Hayden:Yeah. Yeah. Um Colonel. Nope. Okay.

44:10Bennett? Yes. Bennett.

44:13Mitch:Alright, Hayden? In the Running Man, what is the name of the game show Arnold is on?

44:19Hayden:Oh man. Um. Isn't it called The Running Man? Yes. Isn't that the title?

44:27Mitch:It is Running Man. I just wanted to see if you where you would go with it. Alright. Alright. Tom, this time. In what movie does Arnold star alongside Danny DeVito? Twins. Yes. Wait, there's another movie. What? Junior. With Danny DeVito? Yes.

44:45Twins too?

44:47Mitch:I know Junior, but I just don't remember Danny DeVito.

44:48Hayden:Danny DeVito's a doctor that delivers a baby. Give me a point. Sure, why not? Thank you.

44:52Mitch:I'll give it to you. Surprise me!

44:57The more Razzle Dazzle you can give, the more points you get.

45:01Mitch:Libertin! In Terminator 2, who is the T-800 sent to protect?

45:06Hayden:In Terminator 2, the T-800 is sent to protect John Connor.

45:09Mitch:Yes. Look, you're catching up. You're only two points behind. And for uh to Tom, in 1982, Arnold plays a barbarian named Conan.

45:19Hayden:That's not fair.

45:21Mitch:It's not fair.

45:21Hayden:You're gonna be like, who's Conan's great uncle? For me, aren't you?

45:26Mitch:Number 12, for Hayden, in True Lies, what is the name of the secret organization Harry Tasker works for?

45:32Hayden:Uh, it is Omega. Close enough. Omega Secretary.

45:38That's like we just talked about it.

45:41Hayden:I got something.

45:43Mitch:Alright, Tom. And number 13, what character does Arnold portray in the movie Batman and Robin? Mr. Freeze. Stop giving him easy ones. I made all these easy.

45:53These are all pretty easy.

45:55Mitch:Number 14. Hayden?

45:57Hayden:Oh no. Those are the ones not easy.

46:00Mitch:What 1977 documentary launched Arnold's film career?

46:05Mr. Universe? No. Pumping iron. Darn it.

46:10Mitch:As soon as you said, stop getting in the easy ones. I looked, I was like, oh crap.

46:14Hayden:At least we all admit that this is uh.

46:16Mitch:Alright, Hayden. Number uh unfair 15. What Arnold movie does he join? What Arnold movie Sorry, I wrote this wrong. I was half asleep.

46:26Okay.

46:26Mitch:What movie does Arnold join a sword-wielding queen? Oh, Red Sonya. Yeah. Okay. So we say with red hair.

46:33Sounds like it's got to be the Red Sonya because we already did Kona.

46:36Mitch:Alright, number 16. In true lies, what is Harry's pretend job?

46:39Computer salesman. Yes.

46:41Mitch:Computer hardware salesman.

46:43Hayden:Yeah, good for you.

46:44Mitch:Give me a point. Number 17. Hey Dazzle the Razzle. And the last action hero, what item is Arnold and the kid after. A golden ticket. Yes.

46:53I got a golden ticket.

46:56Mitch:Alright. Tom, in the sixth day, what is the key sci-fi tech the plot surrounds?

47:05In the sixth day? Yes. I've never seen this movie.

47:09Mitch:Well, um Hayden?

47:11Yeah, Hayden. Is it the cloning thing? Yes. Yeah. Cloning. Yeah. Yeah.

47:16Mitch:Alright.

47:17Pick sci-fi McGuffin. unknown: Yeah.

47:19Mitch:Alright. Tom in the Running Man. What is the name of the studio company that that does the show?

47:25Running Man Studios? No. unknown: Damn.

47:28Hayden:It's like IFB or. Fox. Close. Yeah. I G B or I I C B. I C B. Or I B C.

47:40Mitch:IB Closer. ABC. IC I C U D D. E F H I Deck L. Go through the M F alphabet. I'm going to give Hayden a point.

47:52Hayden:Yeah. Yeah, he got two.

47:53Mitch:The ICS network. ICS.

47:55Hayden:I get I get that confused with uh Scrooged, where their network is ICB. Yeah. ICB brings you terror for Christmas.

48:06Mitch:Anyways, number 20. In kindergarten cop, what is the name of Detective Kimball's ferret?

48:15Hayden:Oh man. Damn. Can I can I ask for a hint?

48:21Mitch:Let's all guess one time.

48:24Balls.

48:25Mitch:If he doesn't know it all, then I'll.

48:27I don't know it.

48:29Mitch:Alright, first one to say it, we'll get it. It's somebody he had a rivalry with.

48:33Sylvester. Yes.

48:34Mitch:Oh yeah.

48:36Darn it.

48:37Mitch:Tom's winning by two, and there's three bonus. Okay. These are a little harder. In Conan the Barbarian, Conan spends his youth turning a device called the Wheel of Pain. What is the vice what is the device typically used for?

48:54Is this anybody?

48:55Mitch:Yeah.

48:56Isn't it like a mill? Like for grinding?

48:58Mitch:Grinding a millstone, yeah.

48:59That sucks. One, two, three. And the greatest workout ever.

49:04Mitch:Yeah. Alright. What is the name of the actor that played the T1000?

49:09Hayden:Oh. Robert Patrick. Robert Patrick.

49:11Mitch:Yeah. I said his last name first.

49:13Hayden:I said his whole name.

49:16Mitch:Well, you can't win. In Terminator, Arnold has minimal speaking parts. How many lines does Arnold have?

49:22Hayden:13.

49:2414.

49:25Hayden:12.

49:2611.

49:28Hayden:17.

49:28Mitch:Yes! Yeah.

49:29Hayden:Give me seven points. 17 points.

49:31Mitch:Already wrote down the points. 17 points. Here, I'll even give you one extra one there. You only lost by three now.

49:39Respectable.

49:40Mitch:So, Tom, we have to have a punishment. Okay. unknown: Tom. For those looking at home, we will spin the wheel of torture. Now, whatever it lands on, minus your name. If it lands on all three, all three have to do it. But if it lands on your name, we'll just spin it again, and no one will have to do it. So what what what is something you would punish with? Because we gotta know that first.

50:08Well, I saw as I was watching other things. There's a movie called Sharktopus.

50:13Hayden:Have you seen that one? I think we have.

50:15Yeah. The shark octopus that attacks people online? Yes. Uh what about the sharks that swim under the ship? Why are we doing sharks here? We did that. That's all I can think of is of the sharks. Something else. Um all right. You gotta watch uh Chimp Crazy. Okay.

50:30Hayden:Okay.

50:30It's on the HBO.

50:34Hayden:Oh, is that that documentary where Chimp eats a lady's face?

50:37That's it. The dude's face.

50:38Hayden:Winner's choice.

50:39Mitch:All right, you get to choose. Me or him.

50:41Oh, Hayden.

50:43Hayden:I liked it better when he wasn't here. He was defeated.

50:46He was defeated honorably on the field of trivia.

50:49Mitch:Well, I just figured, you know, winner's choice. We are if we feel bad if he gets punished like three times in a row, yeah.

50:54We can't like Gladiators. We who are about to guess, salute you.

51:00Hayden:Alright. I don't know what our timestamp is if we're done with this. Yeah, we're done. Okay.

51:05Mitch:Have you watched or don't or seen anything lately?

51:08Yeah, we can do that in the next episode. This way we don't have to splice in.

51:12Hayden:Don't have to splice in. Look at this guy calling the shots like he runs this place. You're the intern, Tom. Go for it.

51:18Alright. Well, I've been watching Monsters of God. There you go. It's the same guy that did Tiger King.

51:23Hayden:Yeah, I watched it too. I haven't seen it yet. Did you watch the last night's? I'm like two-thirds of the way through it. I tried to watch it while I was at work, which was a mistake.

51:31Mitch:Because he saw about five minutes at a time. So over six hours.

51:35It's like Tiger King. It's the same guy that did Tiger King, Eric Good.

51:37Hayden:Honestly, like the timing of this show coming out is really suspicious. You know, like what is it?

51:43Because these, yeah, it's like what it's like all these people are dying, but hang on, we got monsters I got.

51:47Hayden:I'm talking about like like trends. Like everything is Miami now. You got I think because of Grand Theft Auto 6. I think everything is pointing to like Miami. Yes. And that's what this this is about. It's basically like real life.

52:00Huh? They're getting the people hyped.

52:01Hayden:Yeah, it this is like basically real-life Grand Theft Auto. It's just weird stuff. It's Florida man with like, you know with lots of lizards.

52:08Yeah. Because like it opens with a dude with like what a king cobra. Yeah, yeah. And he's like almost gets his hand taken off when he tries to put the little block thing back on. Yeah. Because the cobra comes flying out of the hole.

52:18Hayden:Like it's like and like people are the people who are into this reptile uh you know smuggling business, they're like weird about it. Like they're like intimate with these animals. Like way too intimate. Yeah.

52:36Uh so like the first episode is like you know, like the reptile smuggling business, where you got dudes in Florida that were doing this because they loved reptiles, and there was like no government oversight really to what they were doing at all. Like they were making millions just smuggling in stuff, and like they would bring it in like in like their coat pocket, or they put a snake in a bag and throw it in their suitcase and fly from like Malaysia back to Florida and like just bring in all of this stuff, and then the cartels got involved in the 80s.

53:06Hayden:Well, they did that because you could smuggle in reptiles, cocaine and cobras. Yeah, you could smuggle in reptiles, and they thought, like, you know, if they open up the case and they see a bunch of snakes, nobody's gonna mess with the drugs that are under it.

53:18Mitch:You are you absolutely right. Yeah, they'd be like, that's a lot of the drugs will never make it. I'm gonna burn that case after I seal it.

53:24They should just be like snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?

53:27Mitch:Well, I mean, it worked. There's a snake that comes out of the barn, and we have the snake skins. I'm not a until I open that door. I'm not opening the door. Anyways.

53:39And like, all these dudes have like gone to prison. Yeah. And they're all on the show.

53:43Hayden:Well, it's because like they go to prison for like they're like many. It's like he was sentenced to eight was the hardest time of my life.

53:55We'll we'll do a write that type of stance. 42, 45.

54:00Hayden:Uh just phone rings. But like uh they uh they go to prison, and some of them are like, yeah, five months was the longest time of my life. I'm like, five months? You like you like embezzled you know five million dollars from the taxes and all this other stuff, just you know, smuggling snakes and stuff into the city.

54:16They're putting like all these like elaborate things, like the Germans are involved. They got some dude who's like the reptile like kingpin of Asia. Yeah, like whatever you want, like this dude get like Komodo dragons, tigers, lizards, snakes, monitor, like everything like he could get it.

54:32Hayden:They have like the um, you know, like the the coalition of these government entities that try to like catch these fish and wildlife, yeah.

54:40But it well, no, and then the DEA got involved because of the DEA because they were hiding bags of cocaine inside of snakes, yeah.

54:46Hayden:Uh ATF and FBI. So like all these agencies, but the documentary makes it centered around like the reptiles. I think like everybody else was kind of doing their part for whatever they had to do. Uh, but the reptile thing is for the documentary. That's just me.

55:01Because there's the one dude that like killed an informant for the government, and then like he was like the he was like the drug kingpin, like people would drive by his house and yell Scarface. Yeah, because they thought he was like Tony Montana. Say hello to my brother. But he's on the show, like he's he's out of prison. He only did 12 years for like drug trafficking, and like I don't know if he got charged with the murder.

55:21Hayden:Steps on the porch with a snake, say hello to my little murder.

55:27So um, but he has like monkeys and like lizards and all kinds of stuff, and he's just like running his own little private zoo, just being a creepy dude. But the rest of them are like Florida people, it's like you know, heavy set people going bald wearing polo shirts and sweatpants. Just like all of them have a polo shirt on at some point. And like you know what I'm talking about, like the one that's been outside way too much. Yeah, like your you know, your Tommy Hill figure, it's just faded, it's holding on for dear life.

55:54Hayden:Yeah, but they'll like get his snake to show off to the camera crew that's about to talk to him. That snake is just eating that man's arm alive and he's bleeding profusely.

56:04Yeah, there's one macho man Randy Savage is getting bit in the arm by a cobra during wrestling.

56:09Mitch:Remember that one where the cobra? Well, Jake the snake, yeah. He always had snakes, yeah.

56:14Yeah, yeah, they were giving him the snakes.

56:16Mitch:Oh, but that makes sense. So he got in trouble for cocaine at one point.

56:19Yeah, one of the dudes he supplied all the snakes for Raiders of the Lost Ark.

56:23Hayden:Yeah. You know, they were all like uh they said most of them weren't snakes. They were uh no probes. No, they were called uh legless lizards or something like that. There's a which like because or snakes. Yeah. Snakes. Snacks.

56:41Smart snake, huh? Yeah. You don't mess with time.

56:46Hayden:But yeah, there's a lot of like interesting how you can look at our movies and stuff throughout, and like how that reptile craze kind of impacted a lot of it.

56:56So I didn't realize there was this much money in the reptile game. The guy had the albino alligator in the the most recent episode. It comes out on Thursdays at nine on HBO. Yeah. And he has like an albino, and they're at like some like wildlife like show, like a gun show, like expo. And he's like, There's one of six, is like he's like, it's it goes for$125,000, and they were selling them.

57:19Hayden:I went to uh um like a um animal sanctuary or something like that in Florida when I was a kid, and like they're they got an albino alligator, and they we we all like got in a stadium, like Sea World, like we're expecting to see this thing do flips and stuff, and they like reveal the curtain, and it's just just laying there freaking alligator just like floating, not moving at all because it's an alligator. They don't do that, they just float. They're like, Wow, look at that!

57:44And I'm like, Does it do anything?

57:46Hayden:It's a white alligator, that's cool.

57:48Can you throw like a chicken cutlet at it?

57:50Hayden:I can see my dad was like, I spent 20 bucks to be here, watch this thing float.

57:54Mitch:We went to the alligator farm last time we went to St. Augustine, and they they have like there's one area that they have probably 30 alligators, and they're the big ones, and they'll just every now and then like two or three times a day, just feed them chickens. They're holding them over the thing. Yeah, alligators are stupid.

58:10Hayden:They're the dumbest animal. Their brain is like this big, first off.

58:13Mitch:Yeah, no joke, because we were sitting there watching them, and when they threw a chicken out, the one of them bit the other one's foot off.

58:18Hayden:Right, yeah. So they were Oh my god, they're not cannibals, but they they accidentally eat each other all the time. Uh-huh. And uh, yeah, they're they're really dumb, but they will eat each other's babies and stuff. So I guess they are cannibals.

58:29Mitch:Well, because like this one reached over to try and bite the chicken that was dropped. He bit the other one's foot off, and that one didn't even care. He just like you.

58:38I got the chicken though.

58:41Mitch:I was like, what the crap?

58:42I'm talking about it.

58:43Hayden:They are done because like you'll see, because I I've been to a lot of stuff when I lived in Florida, and like you'll see the guy like throw some meat at the alligator is like looking up with its mouth, and the guy'll miss and just smack it in the face, and it'll just keep looking up at it. They're like turkeys.

58:57Mitch:It's right there. Just get it. He's like, he couldn't see it. He had to turn his head.

59:01Because we were me and my wife were watching it. She's like, why is it always Florida? It's always Florida. I was like, it's either Florida or Oklahoma because of Tiger King. But I think Tiger King or Oklahoma is like the Florida of the Midwest.

59:11Hayden:Because it's swampless land. It's swamp land. It's the New Jersey, Texas. It's it's it's now Florida's like just Florida. There's no better analogy, Florida. Because like, you know, it's almost inhospitable land, and it has been. That's where they sent all the prisoners of like the wars and stuff from like the Civil War back, you know, as they live in this like desolate land where nothing but the most heinous animals survived, and then people started to like colonize it and build it out. What kind of people do you think would want to do that? You know, just the weird people that didn't want to be around other people because they're weird and they bred.

59:46Mitch:And now we have Grand Theft Auto 6. Yeah, yeah. Speaking of Grand Theft Auto 6, did y'all see like the leak thing? Yeah. That kind of like it kind of pushed me away to like I don't want the game at all now, anyways.

59:57What was the leak for those who the well uh let's see.

1:00:01Hayden:So there's his name is like Cyberleak.

1:00:04Mitch:Yeah, a group called Cyber Leak. Yeah. They they basically published that they have the game. They have like game clips stuff they already showed. Have you heard how they got it? I didn't see how they got it. I knew they had a playable version where they actually shot their name into the side of the wall so sent it to the the creators.

1:00:20Hayden:So a lot of like so this is this is a uh a$2.3 billion IP right now. I guess so, yeah. It's massive. It's it's like the biggest thing that's ever been made for an individual IP in human history. It's huge, right? Yeah, and uh they they've been they have this like ridiculous security program on how people access stuff. Well, somebody got um a kit, a developer's kit, from four years ago from some dude in Indonesia from a studio that was working on something for Grand Theft Auto, and uh he took that kit and then he got a file for the modern build, I think. If I'm hearing remembering this correctly, and then he loaded it into the kit and it worked. And uh so from what I hear, it's either a a four-year-old build

1:01:10Hayden:or it's an actual like this is what the game's gonna look like. So but did you watch the Netflix thing?

1:01:15Mitch:No, I haven't watched that yet.

1:01:16Hayden:I watched it, it looks really good.

1:01:18Mitch:Yeah, it does, but like to me, the whole thing, like the whole problem that the leak, cyber leak or whatever it has with it, they're like, oh, you you can't just go to digital, you have to have physical copies. But looking at like statistics-wise, 80 to 90 percent of games bought nowadays are through digital.

1:01:36Hayden:Like, yeah, well, okay. I I I get it, I'm kind of split because I like the convenience of digital, but you're licensing a game, you're not owning a game.

1:01:45Mitch:But even even nowadays, when you buy the disc, you buy a disc that like basically uploads the digital stuff.

1:01:51Hayden:Yeah, that's why people hate it. People want everything to be on a disc.

1:01:54Mitch:Yeah, I mean, well, if I'm gonna buy the disc, I might as well have the actual content, which I agree with. But I mean I don't know. It just it seems kind of dumb. Like, because if they're gonna go to digital though, like they're like, oh, we gotta cut cost on the the disc and all that stuff, but you're not cutting the cost to the consumer, so this is just for you.

1:02:16Hayden:Uh so like you you're saying that the cyber league guy was doing that in protest of the digital.

1:02:21Mitch:Yeah.

1:02:22Hayden:He's saying that.

1:02:23Mitch:Well, yeah, yeah, that's what he says.

1:02:24Hayden:Yeah, but what's really happening is they're he's ransoming it. No, they're pushing uh their uh their Bitcoin. What is that? The oh I don't know. I don't know. What's that called? Crypto cryptocurrency. Uh yeah, they're pushing that cryptocurrency. GTA bucks, and then there was a leak uh for GTA 6, what, like four or five years ago, six years ago? And a lot of people because that that dude uh broadcasted the leak for cryptocurrency, you know. And a lot of people are thinking it's the same guy.

1:02:49Mitch:So well then and another thing they were talking about is uh you know, these live service games where when the live service ends, you just don't have access to the game anymore.

1:02:57They have servers are down, that's it. Yep.

1:02:59Mitch:I think it was California that passed a law now that says that they the developer has to keep a playable version of the game to not to not violate rights or something like that.

1:03:08Hayden:Yeah, but how are you gonna do that? That's like um That's that's a game.

1:03:12Mitch:That's either put it in physical copy or that's the server, the game developers problem.

1:03:19I don't know. Because I was looking to see like what Lord of the Rings games were out. Uh they're like the Lego ones, like all the old ones, all the licensing's expired. Like you can't, yeah, they're not gonna get remastered, they can't do it, they can't put them out, they can't do anything with them. Yeah, even on like like they have like the old Call of Duty's whatever on Xbox that you can download and they're like two bucks each. Like you play Call of Duty 2, they came out 25 years ago, yeah, if you wanted to, but like all those games, it's gone. Like it's just like all the servers are down, but it's like if you have the I mean they're all most pretty much single player except for like one or two, right?

1:03:48But if you have like a PlayStation 2 or an Xbox 360 still and you have the disc, that's the only way to play it.

1:03:54Mitch:Well, I did find like a small list of these are games that are completely playable offline, it says, which are Final Fantasy VII, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, the remake, Elden Ring, Armored Core VI, Cyberpunk 2077, the Ultimate Edition.

1:04:16Okay.

1:04:16Mitch:Uh Dead Space Remake, and Demon's Souls remake. All these all those are games that are completely, you know, can be played offline.

1:04:22Hayden:Well, so like I didn't care about that until I was in Iraq and I had no internet. Right. And it took me three months to download a game.

1:04:31Mitch:Well, that is what it's kind of annoying. Like, you know, if the internet for whatever reason goes out and you're at home, they're like, well, now you can't do anything. You can't play games, you can't watch TV, nothing. So it was like, it is nice to have Nintendo 64.

1:04:42Hayden:Yeah. I got Resident Evil 4. Or maybe it was two. I got one of them and it played offline, and I was very grateful for that. So yeah. I don't know. Uh I I think that what is most interesting about GTA 6 is you know how they say like triple A studios and stuff like that? And this is a quadruple A because it's even bigger. I I I think it's interesting that every once in a while, every five years or so, there's a game that's not just a game. It's like a culture that gets released or updated. Well, yes.

1:05:16Mitch:I mean to me, Destiny was that way for a while.

1:05:19Yeah, Destiny, I think, is the prime example.

1:05:21Hayden:I I think it all started or GTA online. I think it all started with Halo.

1:05:26Yeah.

1:05:26Hayden:Okay. When Halo came out, uh it got enough hype behind it that people were camping out for days for Halo 2, and it got even crazier for Halo 3. Like the community, there was like a like a faction of people that were just nuts about Halo. And then uh Call of Duty went that way. Call of Duty got really crazy.

1:05:45I remember waiting on release night at GameStop. Yeah. Stand in line.

1:05:48Hayden:And it's not just about that, it's about people like like uh you know, absorbing the story as much as possible and learning all the weird little tricks, and then like discussing, you know, theories and things like that of where the story's going. It kind of becoming an uh I I I I I would call it an offline meme where people know what you're talking about with ever playing uh a game with you. Right. You know, just to a random stranger. And then uh I think Cyberpunk uh was the first game that really kind of set this as like cultural release. Because like they there's a lot of anticipation. Yes, it had its weird launch, but once it picked up and everybody loved it again, it's not just a game anymore, it's a

1:06:26Hayden:TV show, it's a music, you know, it's got comic books, board games, it's got everything behind it. And it's weird that to see a medium that channels all this extra energy into these other mediums that follow behind it, which makes it a culture. And like uh Dungeon Crawler cars.

1:06:43Mitch:That's kind of what that's turned into.

1:06:44Hayden:That's everything besides movies, movies and TV. It's everything. It's got board games, it's gonna be TV though. Yeah, it will be. But I mean, like to get that kind of cult following, that cultural following behind it without hitting all the mainstreams, that's even that's ridiculous. So, and then GTA, yeah. GTA is gonna have everything when it comes out. If it's as successful as people are anticipating it's gonna be.

1:07:05Mitch:I mean, honestly, I was excited about GTA, but then I found out at least for now, it's not gonna be online, they're just gonna improve GTA online.

1:07:14Hayden:I think that GTA online will transition into this.

1:07:18Mitch:So Yeah, but see, I was hoping that there would be a fresh start because now you got everybody that has GTA online that's already millionaires in penthouses. Uh-huh, you can't catch up to them.

1:07:26Hayden:So I I'll be honest, I I enjoyed Red Dead. I had a hard time in all my life getting into GTA. I just there's too much going on. It's like sensory overload, and I never know what to do besides shoot the cops or something like that. You know?

1:07:42I you have icons on the map, you go to them.

1:07:44Hayden:Uh yeah, but then there's like, hey, go chase this train, and I'm like, oh well then go chase it. I don't want to chase a train. I want to be a pirate. I want something else that that sounds interesting. It's like go rob a bank. I'm like, I already did that. Do it again. No. You know, it's kind of rinse and repeat, but I never played Grand Theft Auto 5. Yeah, so no, I didn't play five.

1:08:02Mitch:See, I've never played any of the Grand Theft Auto story. I just ran around free Rome.

1:08:07Hayden:Crazy. Yeah. I I I feel like in the olden days, like, well, okay, Vice City was pretty awesome.

1:08:12Yeah, Vice City was spectacular.

1:08:14Hayden:That's like a that's not just a game, it's like a it's an experience, right? Like you 80s Miami, yeah, 1986 Miami, you know, full swing Miami Vice, drug card.

1:08:25That they they they need lights, 80s, you know, there's a whole thing.

1:08:29Hayden:Yeah. But when I got four, Grand Theft Out of Four, I was like, okay, I got my stars maxed all the way out, and you know, the National Guard got called in and I died. Yeah, that's all I kind of want to do. You know, I don't really care about anything else. So I don't know. This is just but maybe six is better. Six seems like there's a lot to do that's not just go crazy. So yeah, yeah. You can like uh own a nightclub, you can you know also one like city you can own properties and generate money, but like the businesses are more than just you own a business, you have to like have people manage it or manage it yourself and stuff like that.

1:09:04Mitch:I saw people doing backyard wrestling for GTSX.

1:09:07Hayden:Yeah. People are wrestling alligators, yeah. There's that what's that like swamp boat thing?

1:09:13It almost sounds like there's too much to do.

1:09:15Hayden:Well, that's the point, is like you'll never not find something new. I mean, they've been building this game for what 15 years? 20 years? Yeah. So it's been 15 years.

1:09:25Mitch:It's a long time. unknown: Yeah.

1:09:27Hayden:It's GTA. GTA 5 came out in 2000. Uh is it 10?
